But if they do, it'll be a massive improvement and a very good reason to buy this phone. I'd love a 5x JN1 telephoto.

I was waiting for the vanilla Pro (non+) variant until I saw that it'll come with the same huge unwieldy brick size!!
The X70 Pro was such a nice device in terms of size, build/finish and cameras (4 proper rear cameras under 160x74mm, afaik no other phones except the wonderful P40 Pro+ boast that), all it needed was a chip update (like D8100), stereo speakers, 3.5mm HP jack & maybe microSD/USB 3.1!

X70 Pro+ is such a beast already, specially in photos department, X70 Pro+ with Pixel 6 Pro, now easily are the top dogs when it comes to pictures, but wish X80 Pro+ would have significant improvement on Zoom quality, while Pixel 7 Pro needs to improve on Ultra-Wide.

As expected ... The 8 gen 1 + maybe more efficient but 4nm TSMC won't make.much of a difference

They need to use t... moreUsing GN1 since X50, would love to see a newer sensor already, GN1 is still a decent and large sensor, but some new Sony IMX sensors would do great.
But what with JN2? I don't think it exists.

Vivo is really making a push for the highest tier...very interesting, they have guts to take on Apple, Samsung or Sony. But is a very good thing overall and I do wish for them to succeed.
