Anonymous, 08 Apr 2022Look, our woolly four legged creature has commented! There&... moreAhh, the sturdy audio jack.
1. All manufacturers think they can use 2-3 built-in microphones to record clear voice over the background noise. I am not sure they will succeed. Wired fuzzball mike is the way to go.
2. Listening to quality music over wire is for some reason not a priority UNTIL people figure out that Bluetooth EMF/EMI in their ears is not good for their brain cells.
3. My wife spends a lot of time listening to lectures with wired headsets. She is using an older phone and will not upgrade because of that.
4. My daughter is using wired buds and puts them on when a call comes in. Easy. She has POCO F2, which is one of the few phones with a jack AND a pop-up cam for which she continues to get gee-whiz comments.
5. When I get a call on the street (in public transport) I really struggle without a headset. I usually step into a nook I find nearby. Without a headset I turn the speaker on, tilt the phone and speak directly into the bottom mike. Other people can hear the conversation and I make it quick or find a quiet place. Of course, the antennas point away from my head. I see a lot of people using the phone that way and I smile when I see them. Yes, the beginning of the end is when marketing watches the competition and not their customers.

S8g1 was a power/heat hog. To make a worthwhile S8g1+ it must be made 30+% more efficient

As for immersion ever heard of mobile games like

              Life is strange

Lol this isn't even considering we can emulate 99% of games from N64, PS1,PS2 and switch

History of handheld games screen sizes:

              Nintendo switch : 6.2 inches
              Gameboy: 2.6 inches
              Gameboy advance: 2.9 inches
              Gameboy Sp: 2.9 inches
              Nintendo DS: 3 inches
              PSP: 4.3 inches

We have millions of sales and data , or should we trust your opinion lol

blue, 08 Apr 2022The same as before... you really use studio headphones with... moreYes I do use these studio headphones the same way people long ago use their more than $300 Beats Studio headphones. I used ATH-M50X before and comparing this to Beats is night and day when it comes to sound performance and price.

I admit that I wasn't using my headphone jack because it's pandemic so I couldn't go outside more often, I didn't use the FM radio and the port's wearing off so I have to twist and turn in order to make it work. I don't care about the flaw as long as my smartphone is feature complete.

It looks lik... moreI know this isn't quite on the level of today's AAA games, but have you considered emulation? Today's phones are powerful enough to play games from the 1980s and 1990s and higher end phones can play gamecube, wii, 3ds, and ps2 games through an emulator.

Anonymous, 09 Apr 2022Still no where near the picture quality (including blacks).... moreNah. Ghosting and black smearing is the worst. Also viewing angles and colour gamut. I am using my monitor for productivity also besides gaming, so VA is big no no. And i am perfectly fine with my 400 nits, 165Hz, 1ms, 1200 contrast ratio 32" 1440p IPS monitor. No HDR but i can live without it.

Actually... The Xiaomi 12 ultra has the 8gen1+ and will be launched in China. May 10th. So just 4 weeks from now.

You can never see the difference. And you know what? 99,99 % of people don't need it, and they make the mass of buyers. Who do you think the makers will be producing for?

Even (gaming) phones these days have better quality displays than IPS monitors.

Anonymous, 08 Apr 2022You move once in a while. Wired can be uncomfortable. I... moredoesnt mean they have to remove the headphone jack now, do they? i agree/disagree on the uncomfortable side, since it only is uncomfortable when your cables are bad and springy from buying cheap ones. if you atleast try to get a similarly priced ones from tws's, you can get ones with a proper cable that wont annoy you. i have both, i use both, and both have pros and cons, but id like to have the option to connect my headphones with a wire, than not having it at all.
