Evlo, 10 Apr 2022I just found out Xiaomi QIN 2 not listed on gsmarena device... moreI think you've just described Sony's Xperia 5 phones. They look roughly the same only scaled differently. The problem is, once you ask for s better SoC you'll need a bigger battery to feed it. Get a bigger battery, you'll gain size and weight. A brighter screen with more pixels will also sap power, and you'll need a bigger batt to keep it fed. Keep scaling this, and you'll probably end up with the IPhone 13 mini and Asus Zenfone 8, two phones with lackluster battery performance(And both sell worse than expected by their manufacturers). Not enough people are seriously looking for compact phones- they say they do but won't really spend money on one.

Seeing as 1200 was a bump up 1100, and it was slightly better than 865, 1300 should be better than 870 so much so that it closes the gap in performance between 870 and 888.

Anonymous, 09 Apr 2022what is the point with 2T when nord 3 will come out not lon... moreThat's because OnePlus is now just like Realme or Xiaomi. Going mainstream and spamming the market with model after model, with very small differences between them. One of those should catch the public eye. The rest will be rapidly forgotten.
Well, technically they are Oppo now. So, probably they will just release Oppo phones with OnePlus name on top, in the markets where Oppo phones are not releasing.
Sadly, OnePlus is just a name now. It has nothing to do with the OnePlus from couple of years ago. Maybe they will change in better at some point, but I doubt it.

I just found out Xiaomi QIN 2 not listed on gsmarena devices or kimovil - it is smallish, no 6.5" screen + bezel monster, it weights 100g and has no hole in the display and has dedicated button you can use for switching profiles etc. I mean i guess it would be possible to make phone like that, but with better display, battery, soc and less chin, maybe headphone jack? But maybe humankind forget how to create device like that?

"questionable aesthetics" you mean like literally every smartphone released since 2015 except the short-lived progress of pop-up cameras? oh, okay.

the design looks good but the chin should get smaller and the ultrawide needs to improve 🤔 either way OnePlus devices are just like any other random Chinese phones since OnePlus has lost its identity...

I never ever thought that one day Realme will be better than Oneplus in software and design, but here we are. Oneplus, Never Settled to make themselves look like a joke...

Goal of 2022 low and mid-range phones: make 20 very similar phones, with the same appearance, and if you can make them very ugly, excellent !!!!
