But, you are right, from all the companies, at least Samsung is trying to bring something new from time to time. In comparison with Apple or Chinese companies.

Go and buy Sony phone already. I wonder what will you do when even Sony will remove the SD card, stop buying smartphones, lol?

Yet you're the same person tht allows apple to give you the same design from 5 yrs ago. The S22 series is not selling that well because they removed the SD card slot and the 3.5mm jack, forcing their own customers to either go buy a cheap A52/53/73 or switch to Sony like I'm about to do.
Because the SD card is more important than brand loyalty.

Besides the S22 Ultra the S22 series was never popular to begin with. Blame it on all the hardware downgrades and stuff taken away, not software features like GOS which are easily fixable. Samsung isn't innovating anymore.

They took away the microSD slot. I was going to upgrade, but all they do is copy Apple two years later. If I didn't want expandable memory, etc, I'll just buy an apple. But I'm searching for a phone that still will take my 512g SD card 🤔

Sammy needs to bring back the micro sd card slot and headphone socket. If they could somehow redesign their flagships to have a removable back cover and removable batteries that would be an extra bonus.

But why? Even A series are great now. S series must be sold like ice cream.

Even though the top for me was the Note 9, not S10. The Note10+ is better than Note9 but on some practical point, they are missing out (Iris scanner, Back FP that was more reliable, not screen cutout and so on) And even now that I have the S22U I still use my N10+ daily. It's too bulky, but the screen is very nice, I'd prefer a flat one with a MicroSD slot, which could have arranged samsung with the memory shortage that they encounter ...

well everything has to come to an end doesn't it? I mean how long? removing charging bricks and so on, stupidity at its best. Competing with that good for nothing iphone? Mind you they are not at professional photography level yet which will be the only endorsement for retards to spend so much money over a mobile phone. The likes of Xiaomi,Realme and Oneplus is not making it any easier for the top players. Decent shots of pictures, processor, ram, screens, exists almost in all phones now. It will go downhill from there where people wont need to change their phones every year anymore. I got myself a oneplus 9r which is not popular, but its doing the job for me more than I asked for at a decent price LOL.

Also USA Amazon is discounting s22 by $100 already.

I just wish uk Amazon would follow suit asap. I could get £200 off via samsung site for trade in of any android device, but don't fancy the 4-6 week shipping delays (after they have taken your money too!)

S22 series is struggling, because since S10 series Samsung haven't really done anything noticeable. If anything, they did quite the opposite.
The good part in all this for Samsung is, that Realme, Xiaomi or OnePlus also did some strange decisions lately, including increasing their prices year on year, without necessarily earning that price increase. Not to mention their software (Xiaomi and OnePlus ones anyway), that is inferior to Samsung one.
So, to be fair, there aren't many phones to recommend buying in 2022. At least, not until now.

S22 is failing because people realize that it's not that much better than S21 and rather buy an S21 with a big discount or even another brand...
That doesn't mean the S22 isn't a good phone, far from it but it fails to impress with details much better than S21.
Smartphone world is saturated. Cameras are already good, screens, battery, quality etc so a new model will only have minimal improvements over the predecessors. So folks won't buy that frequently. An S21 will cost you 600 brand new. An S22 will cost you 850. People don't think those 250 will give you anything worthy.
Someone that has an S20, S21 probably will wait for the S23 or S24 (what terrible naming...)...
