I am so disappointed with this tab. Have always had Samsung, only had this a few months and playing games mainly and its already scratched when i was using my thumb to navigate around games. Never happened to any of my previous tablets. Just don't know what rights i have?

Th... moreThey've proven that my OG galaxy fold, and now my new z fold 3's tablet screen is vulnerable to fingerprint scratches, so I used caution all the time. Samsung never demonstrated that in their press videos, I had to know it from jerryrig. Care to explain how these "prove nothing" again huh?

Having that peace of mind knowing that if you accidentally sit on it or something it would hold itself, so yes that test is useful and it's one more reason to buy it if you're interested.

          Or by watching someone else testing it on the net. I'd rather do that than buy a phone then have it break, and then have to waste time and money repairing it or getting a new one.
          That's what Zack is doing - putting devices through lots of simulated abuse that would be common in everyday use, such as scratching the screen etc.
          Durability testers like Zack weren't doing it back when the 6 came out. How could anyone know about the battery defect? Is Zack supposed to poke batteries or smth? He heavily criticized the Fold when he durability tested it.
          Thanks to these tests, people will know their phone's strong and weak points, thus using extra protection or adjust their using habits so their phones last longer. It's a win-win man

            more like design issue rather than durability

            fold despite "not-ready" for most user due various reason, it still infact durable phone, the hinge is durable, the only matter to some people probably "plastic" display, so far there no major issue reported from user either

            as far jerry durability test, despite it lack "exact-number" in his test, it serve general purpose which is enough for many people what to expect with those gadgets.
            why do you think people really care exact number ?

              They prove nothing really. A phone that breaks easily in this test might actually last long with most people and vise versa. You know a phone is not durable by using it. If many people reported durability issues, it is bad.
              Popular examples are the explosive Note 7, the thin iPhone 6 and the still far from ready Fold.

What about the Mohs pick tests? Reading some of the comments on his latest video, there are proud owners of this tablet expressing their joy of finding out how durable it is. Durability is still an important factor in devices like this

                  A[art from obvious weak phones like the iPhone 6, these tests are merely views-traps. They serve no help and in most cases inaccurate.
                  I bet 99% of us won't even care in the long run except for the feel of the materials and design.

                              A table almond 15 inches and 5.5 mm slim can survive a bend test. Meanwhile some flagship phones failing a simple drop test and some even snapping in half upon pressure. Smartphone durability is getting lower and lower these days

                                    This is impressive and I hope apple will make their newer iPads as durable, because that is pretty much the only flaw of the current design that I can think of.
