Really waste if time trying useless proprietary port. Apple don't be adamant. Chane to usb c if you really care about environment. Just want to make a stund like removing headphones jack and battery. You can similar by nit provide cable by changing to usb c as the cable is more common.

      Lightning best port ever

stupid ppl arguing speed on port usb phone when a phone storage speed only stuck at ufs 2.2 or maybe 3.1 and the system using half of it...stupid indeed..well the only they want is display port but for now not all phone support desktop mode.go cry to google to develop desktop mode on next android 13

Anonymous, 19 Apr 2022Xiaomi basically has lightning port (aka low end usb c 2.0)... morewhat does it matter 2.0 or 3.0 ? It's not like you can move files faster then the writing speed of the hardware trough a cable. Also you need the fastest hardware on the device from where you move files on the phone anyways. And the people who move files a lot trough phone or to phone is really low number. Most use the cable only for charging so it wont matter is it 2.0 or 3.0 and the price for the port probably dont have much of a price difference anyways.

It's like the camera mp race to have larger number just to show off that you have larger number while you have no use for it or it ever get any use in life of the phone. It's just a topic for trolls like you to complain about.

Anonymous, 19 Apr 2022The USB 3.2 of pro-i has 20Gbps. The 3.1 of 1iii has 10Gbps. so only sony not samsung.still samsung dosnt have sdcard slot then it should be higher speed for faster data transfer but sony has microsd slot and higher usb c speed.

USB C 3.2 used by Samsung and Sony can reach 20Gbps.

Apple with USB C is way better.
Finaly they get good batteries instead of 2-3k mAh cell which last barely a day.
And finaly less E-Waste by selling overpriced garbage made for 0,20 cents at Foxconn plant in Zhengzhou China and sold for 25 bucks brick and 25 for cable.

But why? What a waste of time, a slower, limiting port instead of what I'm guessing was a USB 3 port before. This really isn't worthwhile news anymore 😕
