19 April 2022
This would allow you to transfer files between devices on the same account, skipping the confirmation step.

Holy crap! How many nearby crap android needs. I'm not complaining but I've switched to samsung last summer and I've got like 5-6 different nearby crap share features in the settings and none of them seems to be working... not to mention android 12 implemented completely independent feature called nearby devices which is baked into OS.

AnonD-1037771, 21 Apr 2022If it's not a critical system app and android boots up... moreI totally agree with you. Just because a corporation decided that you need it, whereas you actually don't, then it isn't any less than a proper bloatware.
I still remember when Snapdragon 425 used to run on minimal OS'es without lagging at all. Why, doesn't anyone ask themselves? What new stuff are we doing in the last 5 years which wants so much processing?
Today's bloated OS'es want at least 1/8th of your internal memory coz of features most of us never use at all.

I will never use iOS while Android exists. I gave the iPhone a chance some time ago, but in less than a week I gave it away as a gift because I found it very annoying to use and extremely limited. Open-source is the best, especially with root access.

Android brands should pack only the critical apps with the phones, leaving the rest of the apps on playstore where people could download only what they desire to use.
                  Long live ADB Tools!

I started to use fileshare only a short while ago but I used it intensively enough to share what I think about it. In short the Apple version is easier and more intuitive than Google Share but it works quite good. What I don't like at all however is that it tends to compress content to a lower size when transferring large amounts of content. I hate this when the data are photos and/or wallpapers. Only pure android versions offre you the choice if you want it compressed or the original size. I haven't seen that prompt on devices with a skin on it. To mee, it should always be the original size, period. Maybe you can tell where I can find a setting in "nearby share" where I can set it to original size?
At least this share version is easier than the homebaked versions of Xiaomi and Oppo or Realme. Before that is finally setup...

Great feature to have. Many people still don't know about its uses. It's really been convenient to transfer large files between android.

Pure bloatware that I've disabled since day one with adb tools. Maybe some other people may use it, but I never did and probably never will.
