I like a lot my A53
I have tried many, used iphone mini, pixel 6A...all sent back
Yes sometimes exynos 1280 processor stutter, not so big deal to me, but it is plenty of power for typical use.
Not overheating much than other phones... But they did not great with their 6nm process for sure.
Spent time comparing with chinese phones xiaomi 1+ vivo and all, I don't see the point, they are all expensive for what they are (and those chinese companies I don't trust, it's a long subject, even apple lies a lot about privacy, but chinese brands, yay, no, ...)
competition is good, look at intel waking up since mac are ARM I'd say let samsung do their exynos thing, it's nos that bad, don't be tricked !

You either choose an inferior phone with 5 years of support or a performance phone with lesser update support. If you're doing a busines especially if you don't sell people's data just to any third party buyers, you have to know how to compensate with it. Imagine if samsung will give you a 5 years update, same price snapdragon 778 etc. What would a52s users will think? Of course arguments will still go. People will complain, why aren't we having the same update length since we paid for the same amount? And since the performance is very good and probably almost a gaming phone. Samsung will lose some profits for giving everything to a user, probably nobody will buy a73.
They have to properly marginalize their models unless otherwise it will conflict to some of their models resulting to lesser profit or even worst no profit. What they sell is based on the data they are gathering. Not every year they will release a performance phone, in some year they will release a phone with good update support length. Not all users are gamers some are just aren't interested in phones and would just need those security updates to last long.
Not everybody's perspective of a good phone is the same as yours

Reviewers never told me about the problems with mi a3. There are very few people that reviews long term usage coz all they want is the profit they get from the companies. User reviews are more reliable than a YouTubers review. They are just salesmen that is on youtube rather than in store

Samsung always copies apple , never tries to be original or distinct. Also wouldn't more customers choose samsung if their phones will have hp jacks? Who won't need a headphone jack for 1000$. And space which headphones jack consume is not even the issue. Cutting on hardware and increasing prices. Have they lowered the price of phones after removing headphones jacks? No. instead the prices have gone up. Idk till when these greedy OEMs will continue doing this. Same thing for chargers in the box

I bought the A53 exactly when the Samsung store in my area got their first stock.
I like it. I'm not really a heavy gamer on mobile. The main cam is very good. Battery life is good.
My only gripe with the Exynos SoC in this is that a lot of apps are not optimized for Exynos.
Sample: Facebook - there's some frameskips or stutters when ypu scroll your news feed.

i want to say this all fanboys.
1. Samsung was caught cheating on benchmarks apps for flagship exynos chips. God knows what they have been doing with medium or budget chips.
2. Exynos has a very bad reputation for overheating for many years. If you push a chipset more definitely you will get more power, but definitely it will generate more heat. Samsung caps its chipset very aggressively producing more heat.
Stop fanboying and start criticising their decisions. They are just becoming greedy corporates. Removing more features year by years and increasing phone prices. Now they have removed charger from flagships and mid rangers soon they will remove it from budget phones, but the price of box will not go down. Also don't forget about the headphone jacks. They cite that there survey says people don't want headphones jacks. Never have i ever seen any surveys on gsm arena or any other sites saying they don't headphones jacks. Samsung has really stopped listening to their users and now just greedy looting users with brand name.

I just hope other markets have them priced better.

The GPU might be better on the exynos 1280, but they are both bad for gaming so it doesn't matter. Even if it didn't matter the exynos is so much more expensive while having better Snapdragon chipsets that are in between the 1280 and the 695 when it comes to price.. like the 778G. Look, the exynos 1280 isn't a terrible chipset, it's just really really bad value. The galaxy A33 on the other hand is fine for the price while having the same chip and imo because of the A33, the A52s and the A73 the A53 is made for Samsung themselves to earn profit, the other 3 are actually good, but Samsung knows the A5x series is the most recognizeable so they can get away with everything. And that's what I hate, good on them for offering the most amount of software updates when it comes to android, but their hardware isn't up to par. The soc and the battery aren't gonna last as long as the software, so what's the point in updating it?
