                      Is Xiaomi seriously releasing a new model to go from the SD778G to the SD778G+? That's ridiculous. Yeah, you get Android 12, but you don't need a new model for that; you just update the software. Maybe it's a reflection of how Xiaomi plans to support its phones; if you want software updates, you have to a buy a new phone!

Netflix and a lot of other streaming platforms are not available in China so it's almost always impossible to rely on manufacturers to provide Widevine L1 for models only intended to be sold in China.

                          Even if it's only China exclusive I could easily purchase this phone via shopee :)

                            this is goog behavior from Xiaomi.
                            without any price hike, at least a bit upgrade.
                            I hope they keep this tendency for other models too.

                              These news shogld also start bringing the problems into discussion, not only the hardware. Like traking, custome android. Would be just one of the man others....

                                i wanted to get Civi last year but being China exclusive model it had Widevine L3 and no netflix HD support.
                                maybe Civi 1S has widevine L1 ???
                                or do i have to wait for Xiaomi 12 Lite global version???

                                upgrade to Dimensity 8100 could have been nicer instead of same 778G PLUS.....
