Same here: since a couple of years now I am buying refurbished here in Romania. We have a site (flip) which sells refurbished with 1 year warranty and this is great for me - change my phone yearly with a 2 generations old one - S20FE 5G bought at ~300EUR. Waiting for S23 to buy the S21 and so on. Same for my wife (but with 2 years time frame), for Christmas I'll get her the iPhone 12PRO - 680EUR currently.

1 or 2 year old Flagships still make better phones then even the best midrangers ...

Bought new Samsung S22 - very bad battery life, returned it to Samsung. Now have refurbished S20 and it's a perfect phone with great battery.

I usually buy refurbished flagship phones 1 - 2 maybe even 3 years old to get for cheap. Yes they may no longer be supported in Software Updates but I pick those that have Custom Rom support.

Since new phones are getting more and more expensive, the refurbished phone will take the lead, in the past the most expensive phone from Samsung was the note series, like note 5 started like 500$ now an S series starting price is 1200$ a huge difference

lmao, online market called Shopee also selling "refurbished" old phone (distribution product) which many people buys alot likely sold than 10k phones. funny thing while IMEI was valid, you can go check IMEI.info and see result as realme imei, and others. also checking specs with aida64 result gone wrong as expectation

I've seen worst ratings some people have complained about refurbished old phone issues. don't waste your money if you don't want to buy refurbished old phone.

Anonymous, 22 Apr 2022no matter what brand refurbished phone can last only 1 year... moreQuality parts are hard to find for "cheap" true enough but some are on par or better especially for older iPhone models, new iPhones my advice is go to authorized repair unless you MOST keep the data...

Some people still don't see the need to buy newer models, so it's easily understandable why refurbs are popular. Also, some older models are far better than the newer ones (I'm looking at you, Samsung and Xiaomi).

[deleted post]I'll bet you can't even buy refurbished iPhone hence why you're salty and laughing at people who bought refurbished iPhone. FYI, refurbished iPhone is still expensive for normal people. Did you think refurbished iPhone is the same price as refurbished Android phones?? LOL 🤣🤣

New phones are getting too expensive, even the Xiaomi 12 pro it's a €1050, that's just crazy. Also the market is glossed with midrange phones, upper midrange phones and budget phones. In my opinion that tremendous amount of midrange phones make flagships more expensive.

Funny how Apple is the lead in second hand/refurbished phones. I have to admit, that's true. In my country, refurbished iPhone still selling like a hot cakes 😅
