Details about the new foldable are slim, but we may expect an updated hinge mechanism.

how much 3 grands??? no thanks

SA466, 22 Apr 2022It's not the Mate X3, not even the Mate X2s, it's... moreIt looks like they are giving themselves the option to have two different Foldable devices. The Xs will be their outer folding design which makes this the Xs2 while the X series will be their inner folding design.

I give them respect for committing to this design. It has benefits. Unfortunately the one disadvantage outweighs all of those benefits, but I'm still interested to see how durable they made the screen.

"X2" will be a perfect name for the new device. matches with it's price in the segment :)

The last time Huawei update the Mate X, they also give a new chipset. I'd be surprised if the new Xs 2 will keep the same Kirin 9000 chipset as the current X2. There could also be a possibility of Huawei going for Snapdragon 888 as they did with the P50 series, but only time will tell.

Rly, 22 Apr 2022Mediatek 8-9000 series chip yes. dimensity? i'd take that as a yes.

No chance of better battery life if they're still using Qualcomm chipsets.

I hope they will truly launch globally and that the price will be competitive to fold 3 and upcoming fold 4.

Lack of google services is for many dealbreaker and lack of 5g another.

It's not the Mate X3, not even the Mate X2s, it's the Mate Xs2. Truly big brain naming.
