Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones to offer longer battery life and improved ANC

So portable audio will now go through the exact same business model as cellphones. One new version every year, with homeopathic changes and a price right back at MSRP or more. Who could've seen this coming, when the audio jack was sacked... No one.

    Apparently, they will no longer fold to a smaller size. That's a significant change for me.

Was about to buy Xiaomi 12 the other day but then the sellers themselves stopped me from getting one as they often experience customers returning their units due to bad quality control from Xiaomi and Poco with which the most common issue is bricking.

          Kev, 22 Apr 2022A little bummed by the design change, as it no longer folds... moreThe design is still foldable. look at the groves at the band in photos. Its right where the cups can fold towards the band. Its not seemless like airpods max which aren't foldable and sucks.

            A little bummed by the design change, as it no longer folds together. However, a telescopic slide is VERY welcome, and the headband design is very familiar. For those who haven't tried this type of headband, it's VERY comfortable. (If they use the correct memory foam or padding, that is)

            Power slider is also welcome, but I gotta say, the design doesn't really scream premium to me. It does look more dainty and petite, which I feel is rather unworthy of the Sony wireless headphones. (That's why I really loved the Airpods Max; They're good and have an outlandish design to boot)

              I got the Wh-1000 gen 4 and the charging from 30% to 80% takes 30 minutes with a 22.5 W charger+cable from a Huawei Mate 10 Pro . With a 15W charger and cable from my Samsung S20 FE 5g , in the same 30 minute time frame it goes from 30% just to 50% . So , you can just take the charger from another phone . That way you don't wait 2-3 hours.

              Regarding batery life, from 100% to 0% it takes under 20 (more like 16) hours with ANC On , way too far from the 25-30 hours . By the way, can there be an error regarding the batery level ? Or do other users have the same batery life as I experienced with mine?

                I would rather see more content like this about accessories.
