3.5mm jack and SD card used to be a must for me.
The past few years I've only had bluetooth headphones and 256, 512 or 1TB internal storage is soooo much better/quicker/more reliable than micro SD cards for 99% of users.

There was huge windows phone gang there. Ppl that actually hated windows for computer (always praising linux) but somehow used to defend windows phones.
Fun part was these ppl always posted same comments like "got a Lumia 640 to my dad". Purchase to parents but not to themselves.

As for the other things they removed, is actually where the industry is going. Initially they made nice profits only by selling the phones. Then they wanted more and more profit. So they needed "ideas" on how to get those profits. That's why they removed things, to be able to sell their accessories separately.
That's why I said is where the industry is going. And the industry is going in the direction "Make the rich even richer". Is sad, but is true. In the end you can accept the situation or go back to Nokia with buttons.
But, if you look at the world, is the same in other industries too. So, it is what it is.

Especially now when there's almost no hardware difference BECAUSE of the lacking features. Actually Apple is better, for having very good quality build materials (it feels extra premium while you hold it in your hands), while Samsung clearly downgraded with frame, display, missing features.
This is why I would recommend the iPhone to regular users, even though I totally dislike PrisonOS.

Having a feature is considered a plus, not a minus.
Out of all the things I've listed, everyone is seeing only the SD card issue. How come?!
What about the aluminum frame instead of stainless steel frame? Or having lower FHD resolution with lower PPI displays? Or the fact that you receive nothing in the box for a 1000+ phone?
How is having only one hard drive better than two??!
Oh, I'm stuck in the past for asking better quality build or features?
If the microSDXC SD card (that gets you up to 1TB) is 'ancient', why is it still being made every day? Have you even heard of UHS-II SD cards to begin with?
If I'm living in the past, please tell me where can I buy swappable micro SSDs for SMARTphones? And what phone has that type of slot? Oh, I see.. They hasn't been invented yet..

As for Sony, I don't think they care too much about Sony Mobile division. And they are clearly focusing on Gaming. Also on other important divisions, like Pictures, Music, Video, Robotics, etc.

They say this record breaking nonsens every year after new S series launch. But at the end of the day sales were lower than last years model. The market doesn't expand. Tech progres has slowed down. People use phones for longer period of time.
