They need to improve their updates work in 2013. That's all about Sony. They will do it, I'm sure.

could any one guide me about ram in sony xperia s
as it is told to me that it has 1gb ram but when i see it is 635 mb only.
                          goto settings
                          apps
apps running :- shows 635 mb total

as when compared to other like samsung and htc which has 1gb ram we see more ram in the setting as mentioned above ..

Sony is doing well on the updates as long as they are releasing STABLE software. It had been 2 months since I have received JB on my S3, but I still cannot end my calls unless the other party decided to hang up.

Sony are too busy making new phones to call xperia something or other and are no good at keeping them updated. just look at how many phone models they've released since becoming Sony. and how many got the ICS update from GB? and how newly released ICS models in 2012 worked without bugs the same bugs that plagued the one that got updated. all of them. i'll give Sony this that can design a phone with great hardware but are clueless about the software running it. after owning 3 Sony phones (Xperia s, Xperia go & xperia t) i'll never go there again. by a Samsung it may be plastic but Samsung innovate and it works great and the bug fixes & the updates keep on coming. Sony should learn from this role model..............

It has different amount of RAM and Sony's afraid that Jellybean might compromise the user experience since Mali GPU uses more RAM. Sony updates the J due to the lesser RAM usage of Adrenos GPU.
