I'm using iPhone because it's a) not made by creepy data hoarding Google and runs nothing from Google b) has the bets software support experience I've had in last 12 years of using smartphones c) it's frigging silky smooth at everything I throw at it and it's a 3 years old device that hasn't had a single factory reset in between
Notice how I basically listed only technical aspects of why I like it and none of feel good loyalty bullscrap? Also it's my first ever iPhone after having countless Android phones. How can you call it "loyalty" with one device lol?

Because they can't see past their blind loyalty. Even when Apple releases some bad devices or does some questionable things, they will still try to defend them somehow.
Is good to be loyal to something, but to be blindly loyal and defend it no matter what, is kind of d*mb. At least, this is my opinion.

Same always with apple, haters and lovers fighting each other.
My humble opinion having used BOTH, i prefer the things i can do with android, people trashing custom ROMs, but some of them allow you to completely detach your phone from google or any other third party software installed, so in case you are a security "freak" you could go free of any spyware ( yes google and apple have spywares, but because you accept the therms and conditions, is no longer spyware because you know you have it ).
That above is point number one where APPLE just kills ANDROID in many ways, but to be honest also samsung or xiaomi have they'r own, so more or less ends up the same.
Talking about great things i miss from apple:
1- Bluetooth share with all ( not that i use this often but when i do, i want it to work ).
2- USB Transfer directly to storage ( no-go with apple ) with fast usb 3 rates, apple still on the stone age with 2.0 slow really painfully slow rates, can take ages to get your things off the phone.
3- Full HDMI out ( S21 Ultra here ) the best function ever.
4- Overall you can complain about how one works or the other, but i like more how android phones allow you to customize stuff, you like or hate it, once i loved Windows PHONE, because of its ultimate simplicity.
If you asked me today i will say that a fully fledged Smartphone with WINDOWS 11 will be all i wanted, a phone that can be used as a full desktop ( ARM emulation on windows ) and a phone that i can use on the go.
Have a nice day ppl, and just stop complaining, you will never change other opinions no they'r blind vision about one brand or other.

What's so restrictive and closed about it? Because you can't sideload shady apps and install 500 utterly garbage custom ROM's? Install 300 ugly themes? 100 broken iOS copycat launchers? I've been there dude. You're all presenting it as this wonderful freedom where possibilities are endless yet it's anything but that. It just gives illusion of freedom and choice, but it's all really so crap that I've always resorted back to stock themes, stock launchers, stock ROM's and sticked with official stores for apps. I've been trying that since Galaxy S2 days and it hasn't improved one bit till now. iPhones just come with whatever Apple decided to offer and that's that. But at least "that" works amazingly well. I don't know how the hell you were using iPhone 13 or what kind of weird unrealistic expectations you had about it, but saying you "hated it" sounds like you hated it even before you bought it and used it. Because iPhones really aren't that different than Android phones and saying that you "hated it" so hard because of those useless gimmicky "freedom" options is a bit funny claim.

I've used iphone 12 Pro and 13 Pro, I hated it, it's restricted closed platform.

Which is often nice if you don't care if it updates in the background or not. Then again you wouldn't know anything about that because you haven't actually used iOS or iPhone, have you? Settings -> select app -> "Background App Refresh" toggle...

Phones dont get abandoned in 1 year with buggy updates if you are lucky. Also no lag and very good build quality.
