AnonD-1033007, 01 May 2022I remember wanting this phone back then but at the end boug... moreI used the A6+ and the A9 2018. The A9 2018 was a premium device and the cameras were actually not bad. I did not see the purple tint issue GSMArena saw. This was a device that deserved 3 OS upgrades frankly but did not get.

Anonymous, 01 May 2022So it can be concluded Samsung only introduces stupid trend... moreAnd both of these trends appeared to be successfull, right? So Samsung did it right.

Anonymous, 01 May 2022So it can be concluded Samsung only introduces stupid trend... moreSo you are trying to say that big screened phones are garbage...
I see, you are a man of culture huh 😂
Thankfully, the Note didn't flop because of people like you who were stuck in 2011 (and there were too many 2011 techies)
As for multiple cameras, I'd actually give LG a much deserved credit with the G8 series and the V40 for introducing a proper, useful and praiseworthy multi camera setup.
What Samsung did with the A9 (2018) was good tho, it had all focal lengths plus a depth sensor, which is so much better than today's "quad camera" phones, with a decent main sensor, garbage ultra wide and unworthy macro and depth sensors...

camera aside, there are two of them active for media consumption. They are still flawless as we don't updated them after Pie. Great battery life, Excellent connectivity, fully responsive, high quality and durable, or simply [Power/Resolution ratio] A9 is above A series and can be called budget flagship of Samsung (as microsoft named after Lumia 830),

sohail shafayat, 01 May 2022That was a much better setup than that of today's. Dur... moreYep, exactly. Now we have useless 2 Mp macro and depth, no jack and no sd card, punch-holes and notches, very hot Snapdragons and sealed batteries. Oh, and I forgot the nonsense gaming phones (without games). And most importantly, there are people who still defend this shenanigans, while paying more.

Now chinese OEMs flood market with 8MP super wide + 2MP macro + 2MP depth.
This on phones that cost more than $450.
Even phones of $300 should have combo 13-17mm + 24-27mm + 50-54mm instead.

So it can be concluded Samsung only introduces stupid trends on smartphones. First the big screen with the Note, then many useless cameras. Both of the trends that still exist on phones today

That was a much better setup than that of today's. During that time 20-24MP was common (though this 24mp is a garbage like today's 48mp sensor but there was 20MP 1/2.3" sensors also) but now we have only 12mp, there was a telephoto cam on a mid-ranger but today it's s only found on flagship, even the depth sensor was 5mp but now it's only 2MP. Now we pay more but get less.

Wow, it sounds like we're talking about an archaic phone but I still use this phone on a daily basis 🙂

And now phones not only come with useless cameras that do nothing, but even the main cameras are cr@p
Depth and macro at 2mp
Even main cameras with ois are producing horrible output
