Maybe this is HTCs way of saying "we know that there are ppl out there that are actually working(not like those that carry the phone in those retarded pouches and are petting and polish it all day) and sometimes it's difficult or unnecessary to handle that big 5"+ " .
Or who knows maybe we'll actually see shapes like Nokia's communicator appearing again.

Oh come on! A remote for a mobile phone? What's still MOBILE about a mobile phone then? Is HTC basically just saying: Our Butterfly is simply just too big so buy it, stick it in your pocket and get another phone-remote just to make calls? How is that in any way convenient? Pretty soon they'll make a remote for that one as well, Inception style. Don't get me wrong, this is true innovation but HTC missed the point entirely.

could be usefull for someone who works on the field/site/factory.. i think.. i prefer touching the mini rather than touching the butterfly when my hands full of oil or dirt

It would be great for a tablet with phone capabilities. Not only will it not make you look like a goof and will also save all the worries of a wired headset.
