Google's Pixel foldable will have 5.8-inch outer screen

03 May 2022
And a similar-sized inner folding display, compared to the Galaxy Z Fold4.

Don't bother even thinking of getting it, if it's anything like their other products it'll be full of bugs, underpowered and awful battery. Waste if time and breath

Ouch, i completely missed an important detail. I thought it was going to fold the other way to fit comfortably in normal-ish pockets. With a decent OS this could be very nice..so maybe in 3 to 5 years. Sooner if I get my robots up and running around the house..only use I'd have for that size cellphone screen for now.

I really want to buy a foldable, but the only one that I find appealing is the Oppo Fin N, and it's not coming out of china.
I just need this google notepad to have telephoto lens and a minimum of 8h on screen battery life, it's all I ask.

I have a pixel Google 6 pro. No problems. Some people complain about the fingerprint sensor and I haven't issues at first. But then I realized you just have to lightly press your finger to the screen. Don't push it too hard. Works perfectly every time now. The only thing Google didn't do right in my opinion is keep it simple for people that like Apple products because they are very simple, anything advanced they will think it's a bug or don't understand how to use it. That's just a fact. Best example of this is they should leave the three buttons on the bottom of the screen instead of having gestures as the default option on the newer Google phones. Even though it can be changed, many people do not realize it

Google phones have poor battery life and foldable phones even shorter so unless they do something radically it's a no from me

Android fans grit their teeth when Apple receives praises for what they're good at. Suffice to say no tech products are bug-free, but the ability to tackle those bugs in time is what matters. Hence their unparalleled consistency & stability. Even Samsung does it well to some extent than Google. Oneplus was good but went downhill after a couple of iterations.

Will wait for version 2 or mk3 , when it's boxy rectangular sharp edges like ZTE40 ULTRA and s22ultra design.

1500 eur for a gimmick with screen scratchable by nail and then 900 for repair.
                          No thanks.
Rather will stand with 200-400 eur bar phones which does same tricks as any other 800-1500 eur device.

This gives very wrong picture of situation. Don't forget that hundred of millions of people update their devices. Also don't forget that Apple have very active support page where all can gather to report their bugs etc. Also don't forget that every single bug in Apple devices will get headline.

If the idea what you have about Apple devices stability based on what you read online would be true, hardly no-one would be using Apple devices. Reality is very different. Most don't are affected by these bugs.

I remember when i bought my first iPhone, it was iPhone 3GS, almost Everyone said to me why would you buy it, people have so much problems with it it Sounds like really bad phone based on what reads online, i was also scared as it was my first Apple device ever. Oh boy how wrong i was, i used that phone until iPhone 5s came without hardly any problems.

You need to own to product to understand it, don't blindly believe Everything you read online.

When have you received latest Android version right after release on non-Pixel phone? Most companies need half a year, some 8 months, others even up to a full year and all the problems spread out across longer periods of time. Not to mention the issues are fragmented between all different vendors across different time periods depending on their releases. Have you checked forums and support pages of them all?

Also it has never been that horrible and most of stuff was always quickly addressed and as far as I know never repeated.
