Anonymous, 08 May 2022No, input lag is caused by latency. Even if your Internet c... moreeverything has input lag. what you mean to say, is that if you have good internet with low latency then your input lag will be lower, and vice versa. having input lag doesn't immediately make something bad, otherwise every tv, monitor, controller etc should be terrible by your standards.

NimaTheShadow, 09 May 2022What is wrong with you, my friend? Just read the whole comm... moreYou said that it would be good for casual gamers. No, it's not. Input lag is the easiest issue to notice because it directly affects how you control the player character. Many people don't notice frame rate issues because even if the frame rate is lower, you can still control the player character normally; it's the animation that is getting less smooth. However, when you press a button, and it takes 200 milliseconds for your player character to start acting, there is no way that you don't notice that. It doesn't matter if you're a casual gamer. As I said, many games will be almost unplayable. And in case you don't know, some games have input lag issues even if you play them locally.

In your original comment, you said that it would be "the absolute number one choice" for casual gamers. That's extremely stupid. It clearly shows that you didn't know how bad input lag can affect gaming experience until I told you.

Just read the whole comment and try to understand it before hopping on your keyboard and answering me. "The inevitable input lag which is the most annoying thing about cloud gaming!" It's right there!
Maybe it's a matter of size, so... I DO KNOW WHAT INPUT LAG IS AND I DO KNOW IT'S ANNOYING IN ANY CASE! good enough? 🤦🏻‍♂️
"It's a subpar experience for every player because of input lag. Anyone can easily notice significant input lag." No s*** Sherlock! Your commands are going to get processed by a device maybe thousands of kilometres away from you and It's not like you're paying the 500$ price of a gaming console or the >1000$ price of a gaming PC.

It's a subpar experience for every player because of input lag. Anyone can easily notice significant input lag. When you press a button and your player character doesn't respond to your control almost instantly, it will make many games almost unplayable.

Anonymous, 08 May 2022So you don't know what input lag is. Look it up, so yo... moreI'm suspecting you actually can't read! 😆
I do know what input lag is, genius! That's why I wrote a long multi-paragraph comment about how this device is beneficial to non-competitive casual gamers who just want to wind down after a long day and have a speedy internet connection with a low latency. What do you think low latency helps us with? The inevitable input lag which is the most annoying thing about cloud gaming! It might be the only way we can improve our cloud gaming experience at the moment.
So go back and read my original comment word by word before making a fool of yourself by asking meaningless sarcastic questions... 🤦🏻‍♂️

Was thinking that cloud play in laptop is freezing, in tablet is too small and one of my TV's miss a stick. Its really old, but with that xbox stick it would be like xbox inside. How many people got a TV and how much better is it playing on bigger screen, not to mention in comparison to smaller xbox, which is not as pricy as full powered model, it would still be way cheaper.
For me or anyone as a present, this is great idea.

Well Windows needs to make a lot of tv series and movies of there own brand then have original content for the streaming platform. Also what they will serve us for now ? All the movies and tv series already have a ton of different platforms most of the rights to show content is by brands like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon. Also there are Paramount+ and Disney+

Basically all the AAA movies and so on have already some platform where they can have the content streamed. So what will they have left when they now in very late to the market want to join? Also it be yet another platform you need to pay per month like you already dont have enough of them. It's like have one TV series per platform brand now and you pay 15 a month for like 3-4 different streaming brands a month that be like 45-60 a month already.

One more thing as now all are making all the pronoun crowd content only that is like the 1% of human population who might be interested in all of that and that is now in everything and each TV show and Movie have suffered a lot cause of that to a point they have lost a lot of trust on them able to make any entertainment anymore so what will Windows TV be like.

I have not much fate in this and also if all the games are either something like 10 years old or these games we see in windows shop now that mostly are free to play or cost up to 5 euro is pretty useless to have a streaming platform for gaming. For gaming i would like to have gamepad, screen and good internet connection and that be enough to play all the latest games flawlessly. but that is more like a wet dream so i dont see a point to this
