Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 rumored screen dimensions emerge

09 May 2022
Rumor has it Z Fold4 will bring a 23:9 aspect ratio for its main display.

whatever aspect ratio they make "critics" will have something to say against it. A lot of people hate the tall outer screen but dont realize that it is perfect for using the phone for calls when folded. Yes, a ightly wider outer screen maybe better but that would defeat the purpose of buying a fold. If you want a normal looking aspect ratio for a phone then buy a normal phone.
I think it was intentionally designed to make the user unfold it should he needs a bigger screen.

Truth of the matter is, the fold 3 is still miles ahead of the competetion specially in terms of usability and protection. First, the pen is much more useful for this size compared to the note series, and has become my most useful phone in a long time. Second, none of the other foldables even offer IP rating. 8 months in and my fold is still flawless.

Would love a better camera though.

I'm kinda like Ed O'Neill when he failed to recognize Britney Spears in a Hawaiian airport or Johnny Lawrence in Cobra Kai still stuck in the 80s. I'm treating foldables like I'm living in a bubble with them. I figure they'll never take off. They're too niche and still too expensive for the masses. Many people who own multiple smartphones don't really see the advantages from foldable screens. And I'm ok with that.

I want to be Juan Bagnell enjoying his Surface Duo series. None of us have to think like the rest of the world. I want my foldables to keep on coming. Reminds me of that weird time in 1993 when Panasonic 3DO, Atari Jaguar, Amiga CD32, and Philips CD-i came out and it was a confusing time to shop for a new console. Loved it. Love variety.

Flip 3. Razr 5G. Pixel Notepad. Surface Duo. LG Wing. AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!

PepperPot, 09 May 2022Until cell phone providers start carrying other Foldables o... moreYup

Until cell phone providers start carrying other Foldables on their network, Samsung can move at their own pace without worrying about the competition, for now. Millions of people are not spending $1,000+ outright on a cell phone. If the rumors about the design and battery upgrade to the Flip are true, it will push the competition even further behind.

Samsung has a big advantage over any hardware the other manufacturers can offer on their Foldables. They have millions of people that actually purchase their Foldables and those consumers give them valuable feedback that has lead to increased sales.

As things stand, after seeing the Mate X2 and Find N's cameras, I find the Fold's cameras to not be good. An Ultra's set of cameras is mandatory for me when thinking about how much you pay for a folding phone.

Z Fold4, so sleek and sexy device. Still, I am doomed stick to my Note 20 Ultra and S22 Ultra since battery life is key for power users and with that screen estate on Fold4 the battery will be dead without making a day. If only Samsung could fix this in the future with min 6000mAh capacity. And on top, though I realize it is wishful thinking IR blaster in all flagship phones. I don't want to abandon the Samsung ship but it is high time they do something about battery capacity in all phones

But realistically, the Samsung Foldables are easily the best, and most complete on the market. Even if the competition made it out of china, samsung would still dominate with ease

Ahh good old Sammy sung pioneer of foldable smartphones

But yet still offer the worse foldable hardware in terms of execution especially on the folder outer screen

Oppo find N and even vivo's latest foldable are much better

Again I'm not talking about camera or software or price

Just the pure practicality of the fold itself

After seeing the disappointment of the Motorola Razr 3 design, I'm only interested in the Google Pixel Notepad. I really don't care of a Oppo and Huawei clamshell. They'll never sell where I live and I don't want to ColorOS or lack Google Services.

The Oppo Find N won't let me change the launcher. That's lame. I don't care if OnePlus Find N comes out. Still owned by BBK and their ruining the industry. The only foldables I'll get come from Samsung or Google. But I want the Fold to have a built-in S-Pen. Maybe wait for the Fold 5.

I tried going back using my Pixel 3. I can't go back to a slab. Content with my flip phones. Already 8 months and so used to closing them shut.

It's good that you don't spend money on this technology that is still green and apparently has a long way to go to mature! I will continue with the tile type phones for a while longer

But here we are with the same device three years in a row. As a Fold 2 user I can't see the point in upgrading if I can't tell the Fold 4 apart from my 2020 device.
                                      Competition can't come soon enough.
