How does the RX 6650 XT compare to the RX 6800M?

Saw the tests on Youtube, HOLY SMOKES, if only AMD released it during winter season, people could've used the 6950 XT as central heating unit

awesome i just wish pc gpu prices would get back to normal ever since mining and chip shortage they sell double and triple compared to what they used to and even these msrp never end up the actual prices to stay smh

I don't know why i feel more right buying Nvidia GPU than AMD even though AMD is really good

(w... moreThese days the GPUs are quite competitive and you're almost always "getting exactly what you paid for". I've seen a lot of benchmarks, reviews, and have used a few of these GPUs in systems I've built and the FPS numbers I get make sense. A $500 GPU from NVidia will probably not beat a $600 dollar GPU from AMD (assuming MSRP pricing), etc... There are cases where one GPU will perform better than the other in like one specific game but over an average of many game titles it usually comes out to "the more expensive GPU is giving you more frames on average".

The only reason I'd go with Nvidia rn is for Ray Tracing. Nvidia still has the edge on Ray Tracing but if you don't plan on using that at all, then its just a matter of "buying whatever is within your budget" for the build. Finding sales/rebates/bonuses will help to offset the cost.

I've been always using nVidia though. (with Intel or AMD according to needs...) are AMD graphic cards really worth the shot? especially that 6750XT...

MasEnha, 11 May 2022Indeed, I still own the HD6950 FleX from Sapphire to date a... moreWorking yes, but those cards are rather archaic by all means now. I've had HD6950 and I also had HD7950 later and it was a huge jump in performance. And then I had GTX 980, GTX 1080Ti and now RTX 3080. There was bunch of Radeon R7 and R9 series cards in between as well as RX series now so by all means HD6950 is an archaic relic that is only sufficient if you don't really play any new games. Or you're still only playing E-Sport games that basically run well even on a toaster. Apparently RX 6650 XT is the best from this refresh because it really beats RTX 3050/3060 series significantly and they don't cost that much.

AnonD-1049375, 11 May 2022But can it run Crysis?! Lol. No one will ever know. Isn't it strange how the supposed superior chip factory at TSMC seemingly can't produce a basic amount of processors for their customers? It's almost as if tech news is mostly fake news?

Their product naming scheme has went back in time it seems. I remember HD6950 came around 12 years ago. Now the HD is replaced with RX.
