In India the possible reason for a lack of carrier exclusivity deal is because of Jio. No manufacturer would want to keep away from Jio as people would prefer them. However because of their market dominance Jio would not give favourable conditions to the manufacturer.

potato4k, 11 May 2022So, the same tactic as OnePlus. Make it exclusive so it gar... moreMany will fall. In previous discussions it was clearly visible. Even if we could see that it brings really nothing new, innovative or even for a decent price. Still so many people seeing it as a game changer.

Well, either it will be something like the Essential phone or it will become popular and mainstream like OnePlus and merge with other bigger company at some point.
Either way, it will not end good.

              What disastrous branding.

So, the same tactic as OnePlus. Make it exclusive so it garners cult following, then slowly increasing the price and then later just merge it back to the mothership Oppo.
Please tell me nobody falls for this trick the second time.
