Akinaro, 12 May 2022It decline because we have copy-paste for past few years...... moreWhat you people don't understand is that phones have reached the maximum peak. The only thing that can change is if they bring back sd card slots and headphone jacks but it will never happen. The only thing left to do is to improve CPU's so they will not boil anymore, cameras and most important the batteries. That's it. Long gone are the days when it was something different each year. Want something a bit different ? Buy a foldable.

Anonymous, 11 May 2022No, it will decline because all "flagship" phones... moreyou are so ridiculously wrong by thinking everyone is a tech nerd like you (let's say us I'm on GSMA commenting 😅) but over 90% of buyers don't care about any of this 😂
The only thing out of your list that matters to them is price and yeah that went up so demand goes down. Business 101 🤷‍♂️

It decline because we have copy-paste for past few years... No one need to change phone that often anymore as every generation is the same, there is not even power or feature increase like before.
Mid-range phones work the same as high-ends. High-ends instead of being feature packed monsters in nice package are last-year devices with just new number.
It was always like that in some ways but for past 3-4 years its so obvious that even people not interested in phones(read: majority of users) see that. Its just black slab after another black slab...

covid is the common cold and inflation is being caused on purpose.

We've hit the threshold of capabilities vs luxury.

Most phones will still work if you take good care of them for years after. Besides planned obsolescence, people can text, make calls, check email/social media with a phone. Besides enthusiasts and status symbol hoppers, there's no need to upgrade something that serves it's purpose.

Many people don’t even use the newest and innovative features some phones offer. But with that being said the iPhone does lack few essential features that other phones have.

No, it will decline because all "flagship" phones are crap but cost like they are master of innovation.

                One year after being developed:

                Still no 200w charging.
                Still no 200mp cameras.
Only Samsung s22u has 10x zoom (same as 3 years ago, we should have gotten 20x optical zoom by now).
Only 2-3 wannabe flagships (actually only high-midrangers in reality) have uninterrupted screen without punch hole.
                SD card slot gone.
                Headphone jack gone.
                Price went up.
Bravo, I hope they all go bankrupt as they deserve.

The pace of innovation also has slowed. Snapdragon 8 gen1 isn’t a big upgrade over snapdragon 888. The paltry performance increase doesn’t justify the cost of buying a new smartphone if you’re on the previous gen. Also, people tend to hold on to their phones longer. Apple saw this coming and moved into offering services.
