Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 overheats and throttles as much as 888. So who knows if the battery increase will make much of a difference if any?
The app, SamSprung, could work on any One UI version before 4.0. It's a widget launcher that can run apps from the cover display. I'm not sure Flip 4 will ever run an app like that as Samsung might have closed the pathway to that. Without SamSprung, the cover display really is worthless. It's basically a smart watch. Nowhere as useful as the Razr's.
I'm more focused getting a Surface Duo or Fold 3 if on sale. I'm not sure I'll need either one though. Too heavy. Never been a tablet user. Just more gadgets to carry around when I prefer to pack light. Leaning towards Duo 1. It's cheap and dual-screen just seems more useful for my needs. The recent updates corrected a lot of its issues.

I don't think any Brand can anytime soon except the smartphone will be stupidly thin eg 4.5mm thick

Sides looks slightly more flat. It's essentially the same as last year's as expected. Fold 4 won't look that different from its predecessor either.
I use my Flip 3 for mostly gaming and streaming. I can use it as my main phone but I really do prefer the bigger cover display on ny Razr 5G. But Flip 3 is the superior device. I just don't really use it as a main phone but more like emulation handheld and multimedia device.
I'm getting less enchanted by new toys all the time. Could see myself using Razr 5G and Flip 3 until they break. Just more of the same from their successors. Smartphones peaked 5 years ago. Can use a phone as long as laptops. A decade if you want to.

Pity they cannot do what you can bed Apple will be working on in the lab, and that is to ensure that a folding device is as thick as a regular non folding device when folded. These folding phones are still too thick. Will probably require the battery to be split across the two sections, if not already. And be gone with any notches and holes!

JURE 75, 12 May 2022No telephoto = no buy Flip4=💲💩Agreed. It's that simple... The triple camera setup is the new standard and I hate that on some smartphones the option is wide and ultrawide. And I really want a Z Flip.

4th generation and they can't give us a front screen as good as the first generation of razr??
I'm a fan of this phone but come on samsung, you can do better
