Without this and it barely lasts a day, now we're gonna have to recharge it every few hours.

No matter the reason,1 year later for google assistant is pretty lame.
And Samsung is to blame for announcing that way earlier than they should.

yalim, 12 May 2022C'mon Samsung...even non-wearOS smartwatches released ... moreIt's not a limitation from Samsung but rather from Google that prefer to wait upon the launch of Pixel Watch ... And after all of the Samsung 'touch' that is in Wear OS 3.x now, that's not a great move from Google indeed.
If they want a chance to succeed, they have to offer more battery life, REALLY more. Like in the good old days of Galaxy Watch, you know, with at leat 3 days of battery usage.

Hopefully the Google Assistant feature is rolled out to the Galaxy Watch 4 early in the summer (the beginning of June would be great), and not the end of summer (or winter here in the Southern hemisphere) when a majority of Galaxy Watch users like myself will likely upgrade to the Galaxy Watch 5. Either way, I am happy they are finally adding the Google Assistant feature after promising it since the Galaxy Watch 4 was released late last year.

Peter UK, 12 May 2022Loooovely now this watch battery will hold up to 16H! Yay s... moreI get over two days out of my Galaxy Watch 4 classic 46mm LTE with most of the features turned on, and I can't imagine having Google Assistant on will use much more battery power when it is finally rolled out (unless using it constantly). Using LTE connectivity to make calls is the only thing that will drain my battery in a matter of hours, but I don't use the LTE function often because I usually have my mobile connected. It also has an overheating issue sometimes when using the LTE connectivity, but it doesn't happen as much as it used to after one of the major updates.

Some people say it was Google who was holding back GA assistance from being on the watch 4 series until pixel watch releases and that might seem to be the case
