13 May 2022
Buyers in US and Japan can pre-order the phone from July 21.

I'm not interested but $150 off with the same SoC as the Pixel 6, it's not a terrible deal. I just don't care for Mali.

Pixel 3: Snap835
Pixel 3a: Snap670

Pixel 4: Snap855
Pixel 4a: Snap730G

Pixel 5: Snap765G
Pixel 5a: Snap765G

Pixel 6: Tensor
Pixel 6a: Tensor

Smaller. Lighter. Plastic back which is preferable since no shattering. No downgrade in camera from the 6. Downgrade comes from the front glass used, 60 Hz, and 6 GB RAM.

I think it's a pretty good deal. Of course, GSMArena comments will trash it because everyone on here is a hater and so negative. Then when Google leaves the hardware business, they'll start missing them like Nokia, HTC, and LG.

Why Google is not going for "full" global release?

They could be in top 6 biggest oems but no.

Total rip. Google's dreaming for their unstable trash.

Not that the products are bad, on the contrary but it's just that extra charge for having the name on the back of the phone. (Google, Apple, Sony) :)))

AnonD-1033007, 13 May 2022Pixel 6a shouldn't be more than 400€ considering what ... morePaying $A749 in 2022 for a phone with a 60Hz display is laughable. Personally, I don't mind the refresh rate, but when phones like the Galaxy A52s and Realme 9 Pro+ are superior in nearly every way, I could never justify that kind of money.

As for this pixel 6a, it is good to give it to the girlfriend on duty that you are eating or to the wife who cares little about the cup of soda

Waiting for the 7 pro, I hope they don't reassemble that shitty edge panel type samsung and chinaco phones, I hope that tensor 2 will be built under the tmsc node, very little problem but anyway, and I hope that the back part is Real brushed aluminum, for the rest, everything is fine as in my pixel 6 pro currently... If they do the part of the panel and the processor, buy safely with me again

Google also confirmed that it is not interested in Indian market!

Between the Sony Xperia 1 IV and Google Pixel 6 Pro, it's an easy Sony for me all day long. But between the Sony Xperia 10 IV and Google Pixel 6a though, I'd think very seriously about taking the latter, especially since it has the same Tensor chipset and Titan M2 security chip as its more expensive models.

Australian price is AUD 749, not 479.

it seems like the aussies are getting a better deal than the canadians here, damn!

AndroidAuthority, 13 May 2022Software support though.again with that bullshit? what the hell have they done in the past few years to their phones? they ruined them before and after launch, so why buy them in hope of them fixing them in couple of years?
hardware is a lot more important than software support, if the phone is fantastic from launch it won't need any updates to fix shit, and those so called "security updates" can piss off with no return.

Samsung, for example, offers longer or equal updates. There is no value to google hardware, their Android12 on Pixels is having more bugs and issues than any other OEM.
