    I live in China and young people play smartphones games ALL the time! It is not uncommon that a couple is on a date and both of them play game. One of my friends spends ~10k USD per year for online stuff line armor and swords. So i think VR is the next step.

      Imagine amount of ads that can be there

        I feel like I'm gonna throw up if I see the words "Meta" and "Quest" again. Mostly due to ad nauseam but also because they are such ugly generic names compared to Facebook and Oculus Rift.

        I hope someone can use Zuck's metaverse to change his heart so that he'll realize how bad it all is. (this is a persona 5 reference btw lol)

          [deleted post]How tho? Nobody truly trusts Meta with all the info theyll harvest from their Headsets about you and your life. Ive never been excited about it, ive always seen it as a danger to the world we live in where people go outside to meet up not just teleport to a fictional plot of NFT crap to see a digital avatar of someone they think they know.
          Like many others, i hope meta fails

            People been saying vr is a flop since it`s birth, yet it gets rapidly advanced within few years. Those people are scared of the change and taking risks for a better life lol

"meta") is that Google actually provides some actual value - Google Maps, Google Mail, Google Search, etc. pretty much everything they touch is top grade service. Facebook meanwhile is still just a garbage social site that once you use it, you literally can't get rid of the trackers even after you stop using the service. And don't get me started how some phones are still coming with the pre-installed facebook app that you simply cannot uninstall unless you boot your own ROM, even though virtually nobody uses it besides bunch of boomers.

                                    What I do on my quest 2 is have a router wired to my PC that's set up as a wireless access point, then connect my headset to that wirelessly. That way I can play VR games through steam but the headset is not connected to the internet
