If you have ignorant customers, fool them. I, myself, use a low-end Galaxy and planning to upgrade to S IV but I can't deny that Samsung is fooling customers sometimes (I still can't get over Galaxy S and W not getting at least ICS).

The thing is that out of all features they've skimped on the display which may/may not be gud thing depending upon the choice of consumers.
And call it brand milking or brand diluting, they've released some phones that don't necessarily justify their names.s3 mini as u pointed for instance and s2 plus wherein plus means only the latest version of software which will become even more insignificant once the jb update for s2 rolls out

Samsung wants to bombard the market with a massive magnitude of phones. They want to fill the smallest fractions of market segments which helps them to be recognized as a company that can provide low, mid and high end devices which in fact causes customers' confusion along with platform fragmentation. They're also good at brand-milking (S III mini is NO WAY a smaller S III other than design).

It's amazing that samsung(which is known to try out anything and everything to fill the voids in their lineup) has never had a qhd res screen of either LCD or OLED variety on their galaxies.

good option for mid ranged device... dont know y people r bothered if they using the old parts... if u care more about that then buy urself the upcoming galaxy S4 or xperia Z or any other top notch if u dont like mid ranged or outdated parts... but everyone cant afford high end device n thz z specially for people buying midrange phone... u want samsung to make only a high end device like apple?? then what will be difference between samsung n apple?? then again u'll say samsung copied apple by releasing only 1 top phone a year... means from both sides u want to win... sick people...

It's either wvga or hd for sammy.they've never used a qhd res display as far as i know(correct me if am wrong) which is surprising since everybody else(sony, htc,lg) have used it atleast once on their midrange phones.
Wvga res on a 4.5" screen seems a stretch.they've tried to compensate that with a super amoled plus which means it's a RGB stripe but still.a 720p display would've increased the costs so a qhd would've been nice.same goes for galaxy grand.

Anonymous, 29 Jan 2013I would say the design is more functional than others but ... moreare you blind??? do you exactly know what your talking about?? why don't you go get an iphone and s2 and try to look at them?? copy means look exactly, similar is another word, no matter how hard i look at the galaxy s2 i cant seem to understand the word "copy" maybe in color or the placement of home button at the center, but the s2 and i phone doesn't look the same, nor similar,, even the size and screen size are different, copy?? look and think again,,,

wow... so here we go again with samsung's trademark
every phone's design is similar with others.
the designer is so lazy, come on sammy..where's your creativity go like when you launch the note,
don't just be a copy cat.

samsung again will use their super amoled plus, hopefully they already fix the burn ins that the super amoled plus has encountering, especially in s2 and note screens degrade fast and the icons shadow especially in white and blue back rounds are obvious,,
