Dimensity 8100 gave better performance than 888 with better efficiency than 870. Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is rumored to not even come close to 778g

Anonymous, 16 May 2022Why are they still using the IMX766?Because that sensor is still good and the IMX707 is still exclusive to Xiaomi; Also Oppo is partnered with Sony while Vivo is partnered with Samsung. OnePlus is in the Oppo tree.

I'm hoping the screen quality is good or at least Samsung E5 panel, then it's definitely is going to be a big hit for OnePlus since the recent release wasn't that good .

Xiaomi use it on the Xiaomi 12 and 12x and Honor use it on the magic 3, magic 3 pro, magic 4 and magic 4pro. Definitely a great sensor for a midrange phone like this.

TechFa, 16 May 2022Crap? Leak claims 7G1 won't even be anywhere close to ... moreYeah exactly, it (the 7G1) is worse than both the SD870 and the D8000/8100, so looking by that, the 7G1 will offer either similar performance (best case) or worse performance (worst case) than the Dimensity 1300.

Spanky, 16 May 2022Crap SoC. Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 would have been much better, b... moreI won't blame you for thinking that in fact I partially agree - but the SD7G1 hasn't even been unveiled yet, in fact the phone will be fully unveiled on the 19th, and the 7G1 chipset will be unveiled the following day.

And then again, OnePlus' T phones are usually refreshes of phones they released earlier in the year with a slightly newer chip and look.

Crap SoC. Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 would have been much better, but I suppose the phone is a lower mid-range offering.
