you have to suffer, 17 May 2022wait till 2026Probably next year we will have midrange foldables and it is also possible to buy last years model for good discount.
When Galaxy fold 2 launched i bought gen 1 for 999 euros and it has security updates till september next year or so.
Now i am thinking buying Xiaomi gen 2 fold if it comes to my country and it would cost 100-200 euros less than fold 4.
Maybe 2024-2025 we will have "lower end" folding phones for 500-700 euros, at least smaller foldables.
Personally i rather have mid range soc on my future big foldable phone rather than high end because battery life is better with mid range soc which have enough performance for me.

Only vivo x fold is so so worthy. Maybe if Sony brings something, but that will happen probably only after apple...

Just one question why???
Even lowest of the low bar phones have far greater durability of the main screen and can use screen protector on any bar phone but not folding ones.
Apart having a really big phone customer will gets nothing extra worth the price.

Error 2022, 17 May 2022Still waiting for affordable foldable by Xiaomi 😅Idk why but the spen thing didn't get copied by other OEMs, many tries but eventually stop doing it. I know it is a niche market for smart stylus phones but people will love to have it. The only thing which makes samsung standout is the spen, also software but not everyone likes it. If you remove the spen i think there are many great alternatives which are much more feature full and better performing than samsung at cheaper prices.
