Xiaomi's recycling adventure keeps on going.....every 4-6 week a "new" recycled smartphone. Very disappointing.

To be honest, been a xiaomi guy for a long time now, this bunch of thousands of devices every 6 months is ridiculous, and every one even at a more expensive price tag....
Now for a midranger you pay the same you used to pay for a flagship xiaomi, my days with xiaomi, sadly, are over....
1- Ads everywere ( no, i do not want to root my phone ).
2- Expensive as fuck, the "Flagships" now costs as much as a Samsung or even more where i live, Xiaomi 12 Pro 1299chf vs s22 ultra starts at 1250chf ( being the second better overall and with much better software support ).
3 - My last xiaomi up to date was the Mi 11 which was expensive but still "decent" i will call, was a bit of a downgrade in camera coming from a Mi Note 10 which had a spectacular camera considering the processor and mid-range specs.
4 - Swapped the mi 11 for a S21 Ultra, with the exynos, suposedly worse and slower, but felt completely the oposite, all was more fluid and fast overall ( except touch response which in the xiaomi was far better, but we're talking about perfectionism here the S21U is plenty good .
5- To be honest xiaomi does not give me anything anymore that makes up for what other flagships from "premium brands" offer for same price.
6- My Mi11 had to service the camera due to defective lens, and WOW! in Spain they do not have official service, but some sort of "allowed" techies that will fix your stuff, by the way they returned my camera with a finger mark inside the lens, so it was impossible to clear the now blurry photos because of the dirty lens, samsung has 100% oficial samsung tech repair center, same like apple and others.
And another thing, my bank apps run better on the samsung, on xiaomi they used to give me issues with the fingerprint scanner not being launched or not detecting/force closing, some apps used a weird dark mode forced by xiaomi and look pretty bad and a long list of minor bugs, that i haven't had on the s21 ultra.
What i did had is the S21 Ultra is far better now in all departments than when i bought it, the mi 11 stayed more or less the same crap after some updates ( camera same, like missed HDR overexposing skies...etc ).
Watever, i've been loyal with xiaomi for a loong time now, but this is just insane they take us all for foools these days, i wont pay a premium if they do not even bother to give a premium....
Before they had a pass, they costed half a "flagship" with similar specs and maybe a bit buggy software at a times but that run well.... Nowadays.... no thanks.

I wouldn't say they're new but not as old as China brands. I was expecting it'd be a combination of Motorola phones plus Lenovo pricing but they came out as mediocre and overpriced. Only recently did they seem to realise they could hit the mark with small profit margins, based on my observation. More competition is good anyway.

Definitely better than this but it focuses more on performance and screen with a distinctly average camera setup. The Xiaomi 12x is probably a better bet for cameras than the k50pro and it's currently a lot cheaper too

Even the x30 with snapdragon 8 gen 1 is just 2,369rmb ($356) now, much cheaper than other brands with similar hardware.
