Ive had my Z fold 4 now for 6 months and love this phone. The crease have never bugged me at all. Overall usability of the phone is unbeatable especially multiple screens display and ability so save your preferences on that. I would say the only issue is not having a built in stylus that i miss from my Note.

I have been using the Fold3 for about 2 months. The crease is there but after 20 seconds of usage it blends in the content of the screen and you don't notice it at all. The battery is actually good after the last update especially if you are not a heavy user. The cameras are a little bit outdated but for 95% of people they are great.
The main feature that made me buy it is the Spen support. Having a Note 20 Ultra 5G before it, this feature made me not miss the Spen from the Note.
I do not regret buying this phone.

The crease from the inside screen got so horrendously bad that I ended up returning it and bought an LG V50 with its detachable DualScreen case. Needless to say, it was the best decision I made and I definitely never looked back.

Good luck with that. I have both Galaxy Z Fold3 and Surface Duo 2, and I ended up using the Duo more of the time because the Z Fold3's inner screen crease really turns me off from using it. I would definitely consider on selling the Z Fold3 some time in the future.

I got the fold to enable me to let go of my tablet and the addition of spen support made it even more useful. Having used Note devices and tablets, id say the fold is the perfect size for notetaking, and casual sketching. Unfortunately, the old note phones are still too small to make it useable as a notebook alternate so I still had to carry a tablet. The fold has actually helped me do a lot more daily task and for me that justifies its existence.
Crease or no crease, i cant even consider using all the other big foldables, not unless they add a pen support too.

Samsung said that the last time and I honestly feel this crease is worse than the Fold. It could be this screen protector reflects more light. Some people have reported the crease looks less visible after they removed the screen protector. The Vivo X's crease shows more after a week or two of use. It's not as bad as the Z, but there is no telling how bad it will get as time passes.
The Oppo seems to maintain its crease the best over time. I would like to see how Huawei and Honor's devices hold up over time but there aren't enough of them out there.

I work in a Phone Shop and the crease is what every single "non-techy" person knows and says about the foldables.
It's always the same thing, that "it's cool but what about that crease", and "surely it won't last being opened and closed all day"...to which I used to say you'd be surprised, up until my store managers Flip3 built in screen protector has begun to unstick itself from where the crease is and is apparently not covered under warranty after just 6 months of very careful use by a literal professional phone owner...i'm not so convinced anymore.
The crease and screen fragility will stop the vast majority of people from even considering these phones yet.

After flip 1 fold 2 and fold 3 I gave up on this idea. Unusable sofa devices. U can't have them in real life. Not yet.

[deleted post]Fun fact: The screens on those "crease-less" phones are made by Samsung.
I'm wildly guessing, based on market shares, that Samsung makes their own phones to last while brands like Oppo, Moto and Huawei makes paper launches they don't have to worry about longevity on?

Few years ago, phone innovations were screen size increase/bezel decrease and now it’s screen smoothness increase/ crease decrease.

Huawei Mate2x looks much sexy trendy slick boxy rectangular than this ugly hideous curved corner instead off sharp edges.

Wake me up when materials science has advanced enough for it to not have a crease to begin with and can't be scratched by your finger nail. This is the sort of product that only exists because of "people" that engage in conspicuous consumption.

that's good, let's make the screen stronger in the next generation, at least it's more resistant to scratching nails
