If its safe, why the phone give warning when we set the rapid charging mode.
I would say its maybe safe but lower wattage would be safer, Samsung have the same opinion, for example providing 15watts of charger for 25watts capable phone with security concerns.

I bet you'd also try to find a way to turn off the 5G modem on the phone because it causes cancer and COVID lmfao.

Interesting. I love 150W charger. It is super sonic time. So, faster charged, better, no need long time to wait.

I do interested with Neo 3 but would like to downgrade the charger to ~30Watts to keep the device safer.
After checking around, I found that the VOOC charger is quite rare and expensive, 5 times more than Xiaomi 33Watts one. On the online stores we can find only cheapo counterfeit.
A bit worry about this, I'm in Indonesia btw.

Scully, 30 May 2022870??? are you kidding me??? i thought it was a 8100, but ... moreD8100 will be in the Realme GT Neo 3 and the SD870 will go to the 3T. Since the 2T uses the Dimensity 1200, it would be a side-step chip change instead of an upgrade, but clearly not a full-on downgrade.

Since the introduction of Helio P60, MediaTek chips are getting more acceptable in the perception of Indonesian market. Common complaints do exist such as it's much harder to tinker of compared to Snapdragon chips or lack of optimization due to it's positioning as a de-facto budget choice for years (thus prone to OEMs cheaping out and providing sub-optimal experience with MTK chips), but hey at least it's better than the days of Helio X20, so to speak.

A lot of good impression has been amassed by this chip, due to its sustained performance that's beating the SD870 and almost in the same league as last year's SD888, so there's little to no reason to hate this particular SoC.

I think manufacturers play a pun with GT: While GT initially stands for "Gran Turismo" symbolicing "fast sport" its now used as a "Gaming Tech" device. The "sports stripes" however refere to the Gran Turismo heritage.
