Sure the battery on iPhone 3G is not that great, but what can we do? We want small size phones, powerful features and lengthy battery life.
Just get a backup battery. I got mine from iPhoneck brands. Their new 3G backup battery is probably one of the better looking products in the market. Their website is www.iphoneck.com

otherwise, why people like u going for 3G instead of 2g. by 2110 4G will be out. By using 4G technology you can download 1GB/sec data transfer.

iphone is not as capable as many other handsets on the market already, effectively you are paying for a glorified ipod!..this unit is not compaable with many standard 3g features and in my opinion nokia n96 and samsung i900 omnia will more than desicrate this poser on the market...if you havent bought one yet, hold off until you see what is to be released!!!!

Iphone is a phone that is not yours even if you paid for it. You cannot install anything on it if you don't have Apple's permission and they lock the features that I need because they are apps that are called " bandwidth hogs" how apple says on the video on their website; What is their problem if I wanna use programs that are "bandwidth hogs" - Is my phone - or is not? maybe not - I just give them my money because I'm apple fan; Is so stupid to be apple fan

Some people have commented that buying the iPhone Sim-free would mean that the phone would be "unlocked".
Many news sources have stated that Apple made pacts with various phone companies worldwide for exclusive rights to sell the iPhone.
This meant that the iPhone would be "locked" to that phone providers network.
At least in the US, one can no longer buy the phone directly then "jail break" the phone as it appears that Apple is making the buyers activate the phones through the Apple store or ATT is activating the phones directly on purchase.
Anyone read anything different? Please comment or correct.

A spokesman for AT&T, the exclusive carrier for the iPhone in the United States, said there was a global problem with Apple's iTunes servers that prevented the phones from being fully activated in-store, as had been planned. Instead, employees were telling buyers to go home and perform the last step by connecting their phones to their own computers, spokesman Michael Coe said. However, the iTunes servers were equally hard to reach from home, leaving the phones unusable except for emergency calls.
The problem extended to owners of the previous iPhone model. A software update released for that phone on Friday morning required the phone to be reactivated through iTunes.
The iPhone has been widely lauded for its ease of use and rich features, but Apple is a newcomer to the cell-phone business, and it has made some missteps. When it launched the first phone in the United States a year ago, it initially priced the phones high, at $499 and $599, then cut the price by $200 just 10 weeks later, throwing early buyers for a loop.

The apple iPhone 3G has sooo many defects it's not funny i know people who are caught in the craze of the whole thing and were severely disappointed i won't be buying one and my advice is don't either... there is know way that it can compete with a nokia N95 8GB.

Pls post a reason why you hate the Iphone or Iphone 3g cause saying it has problems is in no case an argument...In fact I consider those posts just trolling...Like some other mobile brand is paying you guys to post that it sucks and you're to bored of doing it over 100 pages and coming up with a "real reason"(lie) for it...
And even if you have a problem with it, some other user might be ok with that...For example no third party applications on the original Iphone?Who cares?I would have used a jail-broken phone anyway...
