That's the same as people saying just cause they use bluetooth or don't care about expandable storage that it means it was perfectly logical for the companies to remove those things for zero benefit to the use.
Where as at least more ram has possible benefits to some people and doesn't hurt the people who don't use it.
And it's not like they were going to give you a better camera or soc if they only give 6-8gb of ram. Or make the phone cheaper. And if you are a casual user why are you complaining about features people feel are missing out of a very expensive top end device?

Even though most... moreas a casual phone user, i dont need more ram than 6 and 8. more ram does nothing for me except people have to left a lot of tabs on chrome. i do focused more on camera quality and SoC. android phones have variants of confusing configurations thanks to qualcomm.

Especially when you're paying a certain premium price and cheaper devices have more.
The battery impact is very minimal or next to nothing for having more.
Even worse is the note 10 plus had a base of 256gb with 12 gb of ram. But then the 20 ultra defaulted to 128gb and 8gb. With a starting price of $1400!!
And it has remained that way with the removal of the SD slot on top of that.
Yes I know the fold also has the default of 256 12.
It's the point of getting your money's worth, cheaper devices having the same or more, and it being useful for a few. Especially as a device ages.
A premium device at this price should be getting much more in it. More ram, bigger battery, better camera, better and more speakers, etc.

They never address how thick their foldables are, it's as if they don't know... 4th iteration and I bet the family farm that it will be thick as a brick... Literally zero innovation on that front.
