Keyboard and mouse is good for games with lots of controls, fps.

And I know 3 colleagues (2 of them with children), that have consoles in their home and they are constantly playing (sometimes alone, sometimes with their children).
So, stop this nonsense with mobile gaming is the future, we don't need PC's or consoles, etc. People like you say this things since years ago. And that future still didn't come and never will.
Mobile gaming (no matter how nice the graphics are) will remain mobile gaming. Good for 15-30 minutes sessions, nothing more.

If more apps can run on the ipad...then the ipad will be the dominant force
Until M1, the hardware wasnt there...not for real pro apps and AAA games
As an Maya user, i tried to work on the M1 macbook air and it works beautiful
So now, is up to the developers to come with the apps for this potent hardware, probably not right away since the M1 is not spread enough..but in 2-3 years when a lot of ipads with M1 and M2 are out there, you will reach millions of users
