Pixel counts will determine the size or resolution of the picture but quality of image captured will be based on several factors, the biggest factor is the sensor being used.

Two years ago you could buy the Redmi Note at this price with a SD 665 (11nm), 48MP rear camera with 4K video and slow-mo, 13 MP front camera, 4GB ram, 64GB storage, Gorilla Glass 5 front and back and 4000 mAh battery. The only way this phone is better is the larger 6000 mAh battery and larger screen 6.71inch vs 6.3 inch which is still subjective as some people prefer smaller screens. Each new Redmi used to be so much better than the competition (e.g. bringing 48 MP cameras and better performing chipsets), but now they are just ordinary and are being beaten by rivals in some aspects. I really hope that they up their game again because I really love Redmi.

805 can support 4K screen,... morean addition, 625 can record 4K "in 60fps".
But yes, overall the scene is rubbish and confusing to say the least. Although with Helios G96 proving to be weaker than G95, I guess Qualcomm is not alone.

If that reachs same performance at 2.0 Ghz it must have A55 cores.
Still, not useful for even emulation.
Meanwhile... it is rumoured the C40+ with the Snapdragon 680.
