            People are usually aware when someone just saying their opinion or they're on their bashing and trolling mission towards brand, funcionallity or even something stupid like choice if you want to register or not. I've been registered but gave up on that since there wasn't any benefit other then your comment gets emidiatelly on page and not waiting for admins to aprove the comment.

            In my opinion accusing anonymous for something most of registered users are also doing is called hypocritsm. No hard feelings, it's just my observation.

Facebook trackers can be turned off by default or blocked. But leave others use it as they will. OK, I know, if something works for you, it must be the same for the others, right? Well, wrong.

Was even reluctant until 2012 to even own a smartphone and when I did, I went strictly with Windows 10 Mobile used it and Lumias for over 8 years until they became unusable. The culture and people of the world today the mass majority out there are purely consumers and so there is no real end to technology and where it is heading. However people are the only ones that really steer it. The irony in that is even though its huge mass or vast existence dwarfs everything else we know it is not like steering "the titanic" when things need to get shifted...it is actually the opposite in that sense. Just look at how COVID19 forcefully shifted tech in only 2 years or less.

They pay websites small amounts of money to embed trackers and ads in every web page. The trackers monitor who you are and what you're doing. The ads are served up in an attempt to latch on to whatever you're thinking of at the moment.

                        Now here's where it gets evil. Facebook will sell your data to pretty much anyone with money. It has lead to phishing/social engineering attacks and invasions of privacy. Apple and Google use their dominance to advertise for themselves and create their own ecosystems.

                        You know why headphone jacks are gone? It's related to the invention of Bluetooth beacons. Those beacons only transmit a UUID. Who converts those UUIDs into coordinates for navigation? Apple and Google. Of course it only works if Bluetooth is always on.

                        How about whitespace WiFi? Google has been very helpful in volunteering to manage the database of which frequencies are available in which locations. If you want to use it, you're sending data to Google.

                        Remember how phones looked like they'd soon have terabytes of storage but then that stupid MOAR CAMERAS war broke out? The Android and iOS APIs were adjusted a bit to make expandable storage not work because Apple and Google sell cloud storage.

                        Apple and Google self driving cars? Those are search engines on wheels. If you think the car isn't going to constantly suggest sponsored destinations, you're not paying attention.

                        It goes on and on. Beyond gadgets, the big tech companies have huge lobbying & bribery funds to make sure the legislature favors them. They can purchase and destroy billion dollar competitors on a whim, or simply change the rules so they can't exist. They can bias displayed content to sway public opinion.

                        Back to the original topic, Musk is a bit different. His scheming is loud and in your face. Sell incredible self-driving cars that will never drive themselves. Sell tickets to space. Sell tickets to Mars. His vast wealth lets him manipulate the global market just by saying that he might do something. He has so much money that he can do it just for fun or spite.
