I am a long android user, maybe if I have a better economic I consider to try iPhone as my daily driver because of its software. (take it or hate it, I think iOS is cool and stable, long software support, now give more customizations, etc)

The best wearable OS, the best mobile OS, the best tablet OS and best desktop OS along with the best silicon in the business all getting better, not a competitor to match them in site 😁
Gotta love Apple.
Pity there is no other premium tech manufacturer that could compete with them, would be nice to have more manufacturers who pay this amount of close attention to detail on software, hardware and overall customer experience.

You'll have to specify whose custom feature this is (like Samsung's OneUI). But I'm already used to picking and choosing of features across 50 Android custom variants and calling it "Android" feature...

Lock screen customization is great and it seems Apple is FINALLY going in the right direction for improvements to the user experience

Yeah the M2 is more capable due to GPU performance I mean I love games and I need to have over 60fps M2 can handle that without some crazy heavy games like Gunshin impact.
1300$ is what they ask for and that is affordable if we look at DELL Microsoft Asus...prices. . .

iOS 16: Visual lookup, (Auto photoshop) paste it everywhere.

The camera’s Desk View mode looks ingenious.
The M2 sounds great. However I’m gonna miss the wedge shaped MBA. It was so easy to use due to the sloped keyboard.

The new MacBook Air is good, the hardware upgrades are nice and the design is luckily not what the rumors pointed to.
In the US, it is reasonably priced, although it would have been nice to actually see it as an upgrade at the same price. It is possible to upgrade hardware and not increase the price after two years of technological progress. Maybe it would have sold too well in that case.
It is great at what Apple is the best at: upselling. If you want 16/512 GB storage, you are (at least in my country) only 170€ off the much better MacBook Pro 14.
The prices in Europe are not justified at all. The slight improvements this redesign brings would cost you about 60% more than what the M1 version with the same storage goes on third party resellers. Those will really have to drop the price over the next few months to make this a compelling option.
Some will argument that it is still a strong alternative to its windows competitors because of the high performance and battery life (along with MacBook goodies like best-in-class speakers and Trackpads). That might be true but what use is it when Apple offers better value for money at both a higher and a lower price?

My take:
- M2 is a solid upgrade over Apple's previous generation SoC. Frankly speaking, I expected a bit more out of it, like a newer 3nm node or even a 4nm one used by 8+ Gen 1, for instance.. but I guess Apple decided to stick with the 5nm node for its high yield rate.
- The new MBA is such a loveable ultrabook which I believe has the best CPU/GPU performance for the form factor (i.e. Fanless, near-1cm thickness), but the price increase from the M1 MBA is too steep and it should've started from a 512GB/8GB configuration to justify the extra $200.
- M2 MBP is uninspiring at best - Why we couldn't have MBP 14 with M2 and a regular LCD screen instead is just beyond me.
- iPadOS 16 is a welcome upgrade, though I can't help but think it's exactly what iPadOS should've been from the start.
- New lockscreen on iOS 16 is cool, but I can't comment on how useful it could be until I use it.
- Continuity Camera sounds amazing and I bet many families will end up loving it.
