It has a better camera than the Redmi, but the rest should be the same.

Where did the SD card disappeared on most mid-high phone models?
Am i the only one that thinks we should have the ability to save photo&video on SD cards, especially nowadays when Google limited our Photo's capacity to 15GB?

the first poco that isn't ugly as sin since the f2 pro?

slightly interested, if it weren't for the missing common features like 90% of e-waste these companies call phones

waiting for Pro version with dimensity 9000

Lovelandmark, 09 Jun 2022Yep, turns out F3 launched for 350 euro, so a 349/399 euro ... moreSure... Poco typically have discount upon pre-order (I would guess around €50). Poco F4 GT has €100 discount upon release but that was higher price range, which simply unlikely at F4's expected price range (€100 discount for a newly launch €350-400 phone would be insane)... I guess towards the end of the year one could get it in €270-300 range on certain events (black friday, christmas, etc)

Lovelandmark, 09 Jun 2022That's the point. Either the X4 Pro would be discounte... moreNahhh... They wouldn't retire or permanently cut the price of a phone they just launched 3 months ago... More likely that F4 would cost more... €300-350 is too optimistic in my opinion. €350-400 seems more likely

Eliezerjk, 09 Jun 2022I think it is not gonna happen... X4 pro officially costs €... moreThat's the point. Either the X4 Pro would be discounted or retired for good, or F4 would be launched between 300-350 euros, since it offers insignificant upgrades over F3, let alone for justifying its alleged price. However, as you noticed, if the Poco F4 ended up launching with 8/128 base model and sells for around the same money as F3, that would still be a nice buy. I would rather getting an extra 2 gigs of RAM than "marginally improved" rear camera quality.

Lovelandmark, 09 Jun 2022Since it's largely based off a K40S, which is just a s... moreI think it is not gonna happen... X4 pro officially costs €289 for the base variant (6/128)... Launching F4 for €300 would cannibalize X4 pro's market... I guess F4 would have official retail price of around €350-400 range for the base variant... I also think there's a chance that the base variant is 8/128 rather than 6/128 to differentiate a bit from F3 and justify the price (just pure speculation from my side though)

However, I do agree that at this point buying F3 is probably a better option. I just bought mine for €230 (brand new 6/128) which is totally a steal. Would unlock the bootloader and install custom rom and then it is good for 3-4 years to come...

[deleted post]The days of Helio X20 are long gone, and we're seeing Dimensity chips catching up their Qualcomm counterpart, like the 8100 in the realme GT Neo 3 that even edges out last year's SD888 where it should've just beat the 870 instead. Yes - their chips aren't the easiest to tinker with by the user (if that's even your concern) and they still has to learn about certain things like ISP optimization and less frequent system updates, for an average Joe that only need a phone that just works, MTK chips are a solid alternative if you can't find a phone with Snapdragon chips in it at the same price bracket.

Since it's largely based off a K40S, which is just a slight variation of last year's K40 / Poco F3, let's hope that it will be launched at USD299/EUR299 or less for a 6/128 version. Anything above that and you're getting ripped off because you can buy a F3 for slightly less than that.
Regular Poco F-series is shifted focus towards premium all-rounder since the F3, and in an attempt to cater its critique, it lost its identity as a phone for the niche section of "performance above everything else". We'll see if that works for them.
