Yup... this is gonna be more like an equivalent of around $800 in Europe since the amount in US dollars is mirrored in Europe, but in Euro (that's not even counting VAT, import cost and tax and distributors profit margin. This is too close to Galaxy Note price range to be affordable enough to even try to make a dent in Note sales.
Maybe if Huawei had an established market position here this would be an OK price but most not-so-geeky Europeans will see this as just another Chinese knock-off.

Also, sorry guys about the Skoda remark it was a poor example, I happen to have driven a Skoda Superb and it was great! A better example would have been buying a Proton Savvi over a BMW 1 series

You know I have a Samsung galaxy note 2 and to all those cynics out there it is perfect. Easy to use one handed and fits in jeans fine. The only problem I think about this phone that there might be is that Huawei are a minority manufacturer and although prior phones have been good I still feel they lack the prestige of the well known brands. It's like buying a Skoda over a BMW or a Mercedes Benz, it can get better but never be the best!!!!!

And heeeeeere we have yeeeeeet another one-handed unusable ping-pong taaaaaable! Will they never learn that human hands can not grow up, unless using surgery lol? And to a potential customer, just forget the idea of carrying it in your jeans pockets!
