My S20FE 5G feels like a budget phone w.r.t. its pe... moreI don't know what you do with your phone, but for every day tasks, social media, web browsing, watching movies and videos, even my newly bought A53 is smooth. Of course, gaming is not good on it, but I don't game on my smartphones usually.
And I had before it, a second hand S20+. And also that one was smooth. Of course, it had an aging battery, but One Ui run very smooth on both of them.
In comparison, I have also a Xiaomi 11T. And even though this one is much more powerful on paper, it doesn't have completely smooth experience in the Ui.
Goes to show you how important is a good software optimization. Even inferior mid-range hardware can have smooth flagship experience, if you don't do multitasking or do heavy gaming.

It is filled with ads, bloatware, buggy software, slow updates, luckily we have a community of custom rom. After installed it, you will know the difference between miui and custom rom (I am using Pixel Experience with so many stock google apps)
The fluidity, animation. MIUI need to make an improvement. It is well known the biggest weakness from xiaomi phones was the software.
I know google apps it is not a perfect, but compare it with miui, one ui, I think Pixel software it is ahead

Thats why xiaomi for example ship with many google apps in global version rather than its own app that bad design, ads and buggy
