A cheaper Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 4G is coming with the Snapdragon 720G at the helm

The Galaxy S22 FE might not happen, but the S21 FE is getting a new sibling.

I think Fan Edition phones should be priced higher but with better specs than the vanilla S21. Also with limited number of units.

Hardcore fans will be paying extra for that 'uniqueness'. However with the current setup, fans will pay of the ultra editions.

The launch price of the S21 FE was 800 euros, 870 for the 256gb/8gb version in my region
4 months later, my mom bought the base version of the S21 FE, at... Wait for it... 450 EUROS. ALMOST HALF PRICE CUT!!!
One month later, now it's even 400 euros!!
What's the point of a 4g version with that trash chipset??
At least S20 FE 4g 2020 version had exynos 990 which WAS a flagship chipset afterall.
    This is pure b*llsh*it!!!
First, they killed note lineup, now they kill the FE lineup.
I thought 2022 couldn't get any worse from samsung... Wrong I was my boy!

At least the battery life should be better, AT LEAST!

Anonymous, 16 Jun 2022Or the 860 which isn't 5GThat'll be a worthy successor to the Galaxy A90 5G, even if it doesn't have 5G connectivity.

Maybe this was meant to be released in 2020

I can only assume that this will be an A52 or A72 with the same camera hardware as the S21 FE 5G and USB-C 3.1 with Samsung DeX capability. I'll be really crossed if DeX is available on the S21 FE 4G as the A52 and A72, alongside A52 5G, A52s 5G, A33 5G, A53 5G and A73 5G, is more than capable to run DeX. Samsung have no excuse not to give DeX on their higher-tier midrange phones. LG has already proved that it is possible to run their Screen+ Desktop Mode with the Snapdragon 765G-powered Velvet 5G and Wing 5G. Heck, even the Snapdragon 690-powered Sony Xperia 10 Mk3 and Snapdragon 695-powered Sony Xperia 10 Mk4 can run the built-in native Android Desktop Mode feature for crying out loud!

If they price it the same price as the A53, some people will still buy it.

That chipset is literally worse than the A53, one of Samsung's **dedicated midrangers**... hell to the no.

Priced at 400 ? Wanna see this as a bet? I'll take it 379 or 399 make a lot of sense even with the crappy 720G (for the price asked, but again, see A53 ...)

Samsung wants to clear the leftover lol

C'mon Samsung, this is just shameless! Snapdragon 720g in an S-series phone? That'll just ruin the prestige of owning a S series even an FE. The ISP on the 720g means average photos and the mediocre performance from the chip, Just why???
Hope this rumor is fake! Barely got to digest the rumored cancellation of the S22 FE now this?
