Camera resolutions keep rising, phones can now record 8K video, mobile apps are becoming more complex - all of that takes up more and more space on your phone.

Because the car... moreNo speed needs to be matched ....... it is just bad optimisation..... you have so many types of storage ...... cache.... RAM.....ROM..... External memory...... your OS should be able to judge which things to move to faster memory and when to dump them. By that logic, the internal storage speed should match that of RAM or cache. The faster memory is expensive and puny while the slower ones are lethargic but large so designers of OS should be best able to judge which type of storage, when, how, etc.

    And slowing down due to thumbnail generation is a one time process... It doesn't happen later.
    Your OS doesn't reside on memory card.

    Also, it makes no sense to remove the slot, coz you can choose not to use it. And leave other customers with choice to keep one, a good thing.

    Continue only if you have something new to share.

      So, why are we focused on flagships only? Market = flagships, is it? Or do we focus on flagships to win microSD arguments?
      A phone is a lot more than just microSD slot, and average customer doesn't know all specs.

      We're making unresearched inferences here. Correct me if I'm wrong.

If only you co... moreSounds like you only have YouTube, since you referred it so highly. And you clearly don't have the experience, since you still try to deny the truth. That slow card slow down the fast phones performance. You haven't even tried to move all your stuff from your card and on the internal storage. Restarted the phone and just looked in a simple app called gallery. Where you will see the difference right away. But keep denying it, won't change the actual fact of it being slowed down. And when you don't want to try it, we can be discussing this till the end of days.
