Samsung Galaxy S23 could finally bring a higher-res selfie camera

21 June 2022
The last time Samsung bumped up the resolution on its Galaxy S smartphone was in 2019.

I generally don't have an issue with anything in any Galaxy S model except stupid Exynos chipsets that us Europeans have to endure. I don't care what else they "improve" for S23, if it'll again have Exynos for European market, it'll be trash. Sorry Samsung, but your Exynos chipsets are just bad.

well samsung will think of clever ways to "downgrade" the base and plus model compared to the Ultra so I wouldn't expect to too much

Yes, just what's needed: a high resolution sensor on a camera whose results are posted on social media at 2MP resolution with heavy compression.

If it was any less significant Jacob Rees-Mogg could tout it as a "benefit of brexit"

How about just simply a better sensor and lens? On the ultra as well?
But that would be asking to much since we can't even get a better sensor on the main camera the last 5 ish years. Even on the ultra.
Only camera actually improving by any meaningful way is zoom lens.

God I hope so, put the back camera on the front. All I do is take photos of my own face all day.

It needs under display camera like the axon ultra 40, and they should stop making Exynos, and make Snapdragon worldwide.

I just hope they make the S23 Ultra narrower.I find the S22 Ultra too wide for my hands and I keep dropping it.

12mb it just enough,, bigger selfie just eat battery size..

Skip the useless selfie camera! Stick with the main! That way we can also keep our screen as a screen! But yeah, it's kind of embarrassing that the fe models have better front camera than the flagships.

Are you casually trying to ignore the entire APS-C segment to make this statement? Many beginner/enthusiast-level ILCs don't come with IBIS which really limits the lens option for casual low-light photography.
