I figure when it comes to these things, upgrade every other release. After a couple of years they start looking a bit shabby anyway.
I'm happy with my 6 for now, and there is nothing substantial in the 7 worth upgrading to as far as I can see.
One of the things that attracted me to my now obsolete MiBand 4 initially is that - well, it is a band. Once the display gets above a certain size, you lose the uniformity of the design and cross into smart watch territory.

Regarding battery life, if I crank up every sensor with max brightness on my #6, I get 5 days battery, which includes several workouts and sleep tracking, which I consider to be very acceptable. With a median setting, still with primary sleep tracking and 1 minute HR monitoring, I regularly get 9 days life.

Will keep my Mi Band 6 instead. Will upgrade later. Or if I'm lucky will buy a smartwatch.

Pretty much all of the colors work fine for men in my opinion. Even orange is used a lot in athletic equipment.
EDIT: I assume you refer to the camouflage and neon options, but these are just options. The "standard/classic" colors are still available.

With their new horrible "Zepp life app" which sounds in Arabic as "d!ck life" which is ironically accurate, who cares about this?
What made Mi bands so special was the combination of quality, price and features that all worked well on any device thanks to a good app.
Now you get a nice band full of features that you can't get the most of, so it is a waste.

“Smart Band 7 retains the 14-day rated battery life.” Not really. Most users are seeing 3-4 days even with most of the personal monitoring features turned off.
