Every phone looks the same, who cares? Fanboyism and hateboyism is trending. Some company does soemthing and everyone becomes and expert. Nothing wrong with having opinion but some do keep sticking to same stand.
As long as it is priced well and performs decent, people will buy.
It looks good and will sell decent amount.
Hope they keep it one phone a year and focus more on after sales support.

You can only exploit the light gimmick by laying the phone on its front but that's bound to scratch it to hell without a screen protector.

Even without the mods feature, the Z series was simply awesome. IDK why they discontinued it. It was such a good design. The Z series phones were packed with unique features. Phones these days can't even come close to what moto was doing back then with the design

joe nodden, 21 Jun 2022I love how when they created the company, they were acting ... moreI don't think they've even said anything about the chipset inside this thing, and then again if they plan to make this mid-range/flagship killer, they're more likely to use the 7G1 instead of the 8G1 (although the 7G1 is really recent). Plus the phone was likely in development before the D8K/9K series even existed.
If they do end up using the 8G1 though, that will be a bit of a mistake.

It's such a magnificent phone the design is so sleek and pretty and the QHD amoled is simply stunning. All this in a phone that's just 6mm thin and light. It even has a battery that lasts long somehow it's really amazing what moto did back then. But sadly it was never appreciated and they discontinued it.
The moto mods was such a remarkable innovation. Just snap on the battery pack and it fast charges the phone in minutes.

Going to be a major flop, or flop of the year. What is revolutionary here, a transparent back cover? You know what is revolutionary design? Motorola Z series, it was modular, a lot of fun, and it failed miserably, maybe Motorola did not have courage to continue the series further.

I love how when they created the company, they were acting like it was gonna be the most revolutionary thing in the tech industry. They acted like it was gonna be completely original with zero copied design traits.
Meanwhile on their first phone they're copying the iPhone 12's whole design, way more than any other company. (A transparent back hardly makes a difference) And they're probably also hopping on the bandwagon with the horrible 8 Gen 1 instead of going with the Dimensity 9000 or 8100. And they're still using a punch hole camera? What kind of original revolutionary phone wouldn't have an under display camera?
