I get that it is for age restriction but thats too much personal information, considering the company who runs instagram has a ridiculously bad track record for data collection and its usage with or without consent from their users.

They did not even asked my ID, hey just assumed I was older because I had significant amount of beard for a 17 y.o boy.

This isnt good at all. Girls at literally 10 can make them selfs look 20+ by using make up. Even younger too. Also some girls at underage have a adult face like. This wouldve worked before 2000 where kids looked like kids, acted their age and played with dolls and hot wheels instead going online twerking and walking on the streets at 3am with a gang. Like wtf bruh. So yea this isnt gonna work unless they make it so you cant use makeup where the AI will be able to tell. Would help but like i said some kids these days be looking older and acting older than before. So it may work but not for all.
