Even the longevity of software updates can't be considered a plus anymore, because Samsung phones offer the same or even longer software support than Pixels (depending on the models).

Ron, 25 Jun 2022No duplicateware/ bloatware, much of which is uninstallable... morethere is always a way to make those bloatware unnoticeable on the s21 FE ... but no way the 60hz on the pixel 6a screen will feel smooth, charging to be fast, and no way to compensate the lack of optical zoom

One UI may be smooth and fast, but it's the least customisable UI in the world. And with the setup I need it is extremely ugly, widgets don't work the way I am used to...
Samsung makes great hardware, but their software is terrible. And all their built-in apps? No, thanks. Gallery, messages, camera app, calendar... That's the worst I have ever seen in my life (and since I remember Motorola being US and Ericsson making phones on their own, that makes it really a lot). Unfortunatelly it's not possible to get rid of these apps.

hard to recommend this when you can get a discounted s21 fe for the same price with a 120hz brighter screen, minimal bezels, faster charging and processor, and 3x optical zoom.. i know it has stock android but oneui isn't a slouch either, and the update policy is as generous as Google's

Do we know really something about camera? I guess not, since the setup is completely new, according to press release. Luckily they did not use some multiMPix nonsense from Samsung. I don't see anything better on A52s. Oh, and one important thing A52s is missing - proximity sensor. Their "virtual" is absolutely useless, I hate it like forever.

Other than that, camera on A52s is way better than 6a which still uses small, ancient sensor from Pixel 3. Isn't a Pixel supposed to be a camera-centric phone? How come that's now its weakest point? Also A52s got microSD card and headphone jack!
Can't see how can people still defend this 6a? I mean even Pixel 6 itself doesn't cost much more than this! Even Motorola also has some powerful devices at 6a's price and uses stock like Android.

The Pixel 6a is amazing and looks beautiful in its Sage color, Tensor Gen 1 is powerful and runs like the Snapdragon 888, I think all my life I've been part of the #teampixel since my first Android 2.3 Gingerbread phone. I am the number one fan of Android and I love Android One so I only choose Pixel and Nokia although I also like Galaxy phones.
This is the first budget Pixel to use Google's new hardware, making it even more Android inside and out. I haven't been this excited since the launch of the Pixel 3a, which had 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, Snapdragon 670, and a $399 price tag.
