I bought swappa ROG 3 with android 12 installed. After one error-free week of light usage (unable to use fingers), Voice Access dies at least daily (I have to Force Stop and restart the app). Anybody familiar with this?

The update removes all calling capabilities in entire USA and most of UK and Poland. Possibly other areas too. Absolutely pathetic that I can't even call 911! They've essentially turned all rog phones into gaming tablets. Asus customer support refuses to acknowledge the problem and it makes me feel like a moron for thinking they are leading experts in consumer electronics.

The Asus ROG Phone 3 is mostly owned by hard-core, competitive, or online game streamers. It would be advisable to stick with Android 11 if you don’t need the new features. Asus has also shared the rollback files on its website if you wish to downgrade to Android 11 from the Android 12 OS.

Um... Just the fact users got Android 12 like 2 months away from Android 13 release is a bit sad if not infuriating. It makes claims like "X years of major OS updates" meaningless if they need whole freaking year after new Android version to release it to its users. And it's even more sad knowing it's ASUS which is generally pretty incredible with motherboards BIOS releases and firmware for their routers. If only they took such care about their smartphones...

I just resurrected a Honor 20 phone, lol. To see if it's still working. Even though the phone is on Android 10 and July 2021 security patch, is performing really really well. No lag, no hick ups and the battery is still good enough (around 5h of SoT). Is slick, looks premium and has a compact size for 2022 standards.
Bottom line, is very much usable in 2022 and sits somewhere in the mid-range category comparing it with today phones.
If anything, I had more problems with unstable Ui's after some software updates, with some of my newest phones (from Xiaomi and Realme in particular). And sadly, you can't go back to previous versions, if you want this. So, in a way, is easier to know that I will never recieve any software updates for the Honor 20 and it will be as stable ang lag free as it is now.

when android 13 is already around the corner hahaha that's why I don't trust this brand on phones!!! They do it this way to not give you android 13 and you will never see a monthly patch update again
